Carry Me as a single sums up RTP more than nicely.

Melodic yet unstoppable guitars, incidental keys with a moogish break down, always driving drums and a bass line that keeps flowing is the music. All this carries vocals that are sweet, strong and at times screaming. Carry Me is one rocking track.

Feel good, energetic, sexy, and fresh; this review could go on like the gush.

RTP have been going from strength to strength over the last couple of years, every live gig sees them growing into something very special. Watch this band; let them ease your mind.

This was originally released in 1974 on MAM Records, and is now available as a fully reissued album by Soul Brother Records in London.

Here you have the opportunity to listen to an album that might have escaped your attention, and undeservedly so. This is an album influenced by Marvin Gaye, his seminal 1971 'What's Going On?' permeates the entire project, which was clearly conceived as a fellow concept album, a paen to love (in comparison Gaye's album was primarily concerned with the society he witnessed around him). The influence can most clearly be heard in the lush orchestration, and the way in which the songs have been produced to flow seamlessly in to each other, thus creating the impression of a musical tapestry. After hearing an overtly eccentric daring bass fuled "The World outside" i was enraptured. The listener is met by jarred jagged melodious place dynamically beside those of a more traditional rock/punk outfit. There are certain links to Disorder by Joy Division, with the blaring ballsy bass slapping you repeatedly with a wet yet several days old haddock. The same sense is repeated here and joyously so. On saying that it is a rather hard album to get into since the technical differentiations in each song are few and far between, the same dissonant techniques are reused, but whose to say that is a bad thing it works.

Lyrically usually fairly abstract, relating one thought to another randomly very much Early Biffy Clyro-esq, yet his ... Read More:

Bobby conn will probbaly never better his first 2 albums (bobby conn, rise up) So your expectations are not so high when he relases a new album. But still the man still relases such albums that knock spots off the so called great bands of today. What is so great about conn is the weirdness in his songs. Take punch the sky for example. Under 2 mins and straight away it grabs your attention and you do really wanna punch the sky wit him when he shouts it out towards the end. Then you have the title track king for a day which is instantley likeable. The chorus you cant help but sing along too. The same can be said about love let me down. Both songs are great pop gems. Mr lucky is also an interesting song.
It is very cheesey but yet very beautiful ... Read More:
