Like some of the other reviews here, I must agree that the amount of... let's call it treatment to many, if not all the lead vocal performances is a shame, but for some reason, that doesn't bother me as much as the background vocal backing track that plays throughout the entire show. Think about it... There are are four singers in the group: Luke, Bobby, Greg and Tony. When one is singing lead, that leaves 3 singing backup. If you've seen the band live, you know that it's rare that all 3 of the guys are singing backup at the same time. Luke is almost always paying more attention to his guitar playing, as he should be, so really it's usually just two guys singing backup for most of the show, with Tony doing the lion's ... As a German living in the Middle East - Gulf region: Oman, Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Quatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, ... - I truly do appreciate the music from that area. The rhythm is always mystical and very highly personal. You can feel the instruments and the musical tones which the artist wants you to feel. The musician wants to take you on a trip. Pere Ubu's 'The Modern Dance' is not technically a debut LP, coming on the back of several singles collected on both 'Datapanik in the Year Zero' & 'Terminal Tower' and following an album's worth of material released as Rocket from the Tombs (much bootlegged these have since been released). It came from Cleveland and was headed by David Thomas, a sometime music journalist with a fixation on Captain Beefheart's 'Trout Mask Replica' & Frank Zappa's 'Uncle Meat' - suggesting Beefheart should be cited when discussing TMD (Beefheart's track 'Clear Spot' set the angular tone for Television & Wire; while 'I Love You Big Dummy' most definitely predicts Ubu! I first heard Misha as a support act for the greatest hits tour of Girls Aloud, and I instantly loved her, as soon as she left the stage i instantly went out to the lobby to pick up a copy of her CD. 'Take it like it is' has amazingly catchy tunes, riffs and vocals from a truly hardworking rocker chick, any fan of Everlife, The Veronicas or Avril Lavigne should get this CD straight away.

Follow that dream records, the collectors division of RCA have done it again with another superb re-packaging in their latest series of original LP re-issues. Turning their attention to the 1967 "Clambake" movie soundtrack. Not a classic film by any accounts, it came from a very low period in Elvis's movie career, probably the lowest in fact as Elvis became physically ill during production and sruggled to motivate himself for this one. I dont think its the worst film by any means, I quite enjoy watching this one but not one that many fans would watch over and over.
