im must confess i only knew of a few of dr feelgoods singles so this really was a pleasure to the ears.this is a great album that really shows how great and hard hitting lee's vocals were.so if you only ever buy one dr feelgood album then make it this one.you wont regret it.

This is a moving and wonderful collection of songs, the last work of such a fine talent. I've played this umpteen times and it's worth every penny. Sensational recordings, and if you liked the American sessions with Rick Rubin, you'll love this. Fantastic. Worth buying just to hear "The L&M Don't Stop Here Anymore."

This is a moving and wonderful collection of songs, the last work of such a fine talent. I've played this umpteen times and it's worth every penny. This was the very first Trojan box set that I bought a few years ago, If I'm feeling a bit chilled out I always play this first. I really do love the tracks from the amazing Roots Radics band, but this is a very diverse compilation which I think is esential in your reggea collection. As the title to this review says: Great intro to dub.

I bought this in a rush and on the basis of the 2 previous glowing reviews. I've only recently started really exploring world music and am always looking for compilation albums that might offer new gems to follow up. This album just doesn't do the job. Of the people I'd already heard of and styles of music I already knew about, the track selection turned out to be decidedly dodgy. And that really didn't give me much confidence in the rest of the choices. Overall I was completely underwhelmed. This seems to me to be a bland, hastily put together album that jumps on the world music bandwagon without much care or knowledge behind it. The album contains all Cliff's SOLO singles at the time of release, thus 'The Joy of Living' and 'Throw down a line' (which are credited to 'Cliff and Hank' (Marvin) are ommited, as are 'Suddenly' (with Olivia Newton John), 'She Means nothing to me' (with Phill Everly) and songs he recorded with ELton John, Van Morrison, Sarah Brightman etc. Some, but by no means all of these are now available on his recvent duets album. Their ommision here is a dissapointment, as there are some great songs among them, thus only 4 stars.

This cd was good-a useful mix of songs ranging from The Lion King to South Pacific to The Phantom Of The Opera. I often find myself singing the songs late into the day and have recently discovered a new favourite in "hello young lovers" from the king and i. however, some of the versions of the songs are of dissapointing quality-not the recording (which is carried out to a good standard) but the actual singing which can be weak or just pathetic. however, if you are looking for a huge quantity of songs from musicals, as varied as the colours of the rainbow, this is certainly worth a listen.

There are a good amount of songs on this 3 disc box set a total of 54 songs. Some of the songs are the remix type songs with extended intro which is disappointing , The set needs more of the 80's classic songs, there is no Frankie Goes to Hollywood but Paula Abdul and Ashford & Simpson make an appearance. The album has Madness singing Uncle Sam which wasn't one of their biggest songs, the CD's also include a song from Blondie and a song from Deborah Harry, which is bit like having Culture club and then have a song by Boy George. All in all a disappointing 80's set, no classics and I'm sure if I had looked harder I would of found better.

Here we have a 5 CD set of Janet Baker's best EMI recordings. all arias/songs have been remastered and all comes in a lovely packing. This is a must have set for any lovers of the mezzo voice!!! There is also a great Decca set of Janet which I also recommed.
