I have to admit I am a little out of touch with modern music, I like what I know and that does me fine. However on a random trip to my local record store I couldn't help but tap my feet as I walked round. I didn't know who it was playing through the store speakers but loved their upbeat cheeky sound so curiousity got the better of me and I had to go ask a shop assistant. "Fall Out Boy" she said. Nope, sorry never heard of them, but I still went directly to the shelf and bought this album. I absolutely love it, can't stop playing it, it's on my ipod and accompanies me to work, I have it on in the background when I'm doing the housework and I even play it when I'm working out. For less than £4 this CD is well worth buying. The other reviewers who gave it 5 stars are not wrong. It does create a sense of peacefulness and calm.

I think that ZZ Top are a very good band and they remain one of my favorite bands of all-time. this is one great collection and they made great blues music in the 1970s and the 1980s. here are my comments about most of the songs. GIMME ALL YOUR LOVING this is a really great song and is my 2nd favorite song on the entire cd. SHARP DRESSED MAN this is pretty great too, but probably my 5th favorite. ROUGH BOY is a ballad that is too slow and too sad for me. TUSH is an excellent blues rocker remains one of my 5 favorites on this album. MY HEAD'S IN MISSISSPII is a blues rocker one of my favorites, PEARL NECKLACE not my fave, IM BAD IM NATHIONWIDE this is pretty good although remains as a 10th favorite or something. The Music return after a hefty absence with an album reminding us all what a talent they are. Despite numerous bands fusing dance and rock, they were ahead of the curve and still do it better than most. The album itself makes for great listening. There are moments such as "Fire" that could sit on either of Strength in Numbers predecessors, but the formula has been tweaked to give a fresh perspective on the bands sound. There are moments of respite in the likes of "The Spike" and "Drugs" which show a new lower range for singer Rob Harvey, and it helps give an sinister edge to proceedings. with such a mass of material to choose from,it is difficult for any record label to put together a 'good' collection that shows the entire range of Elvis' great songs but this goes a long way toward it. Well worth the place on the shelf.

This album blew my mind when I first heard it 15 years or so ago. From the first to the last this album reaches the pinnacles that other artists just cannot. To think that it is over 30 years old to me it sounds fresher and more vital than most of the bland R&B that is being offered up today. Also it's political message still blows me away. This album is so good that everyone should own it. Infact if you know someone who doesn't get them a copy. It would count as a genuine act of kindness on your part. It's just a shame he's not still with us.

Having previously mislaid my copies of Chronicles 1 & 2, spotted this today and thought it would be an ideal replacement. On the plus side, the tracks have been remastered since the above compilations were released and they have never sounded better, taking 18 of the 20 tracks from Volume 1 (ignoring "Commotion" and "Someday Never Knows"), and 6 of the best from Volume 2. Great to have this huge 24 track selection on one disc, but in order to squeeze them all on, the 11 minute guitar workout on "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" has been sacrificed, and replaced instead with a 4 minute edit. (Still have the original on mp3 anyway!) I may have a dodgy pressing but having already exchanged it twice, beware there is a huge hiss ... Read More:

I first heard Linkin Park's `Crawling' on a Saturday morning music show- I had never heard anything like It. I'd never really been into music before, but the angst ridden, thundering chorus of this song really spoke to me. On the strength of the single alone I bought the album and - to my delight - loved it! Even though the album and band where bourn for an era where short-lived Nu-metal ruled the world, after which many bands failed to move on from the sound which popularized them and subsequently where soon defunct, linkin park have survived and have since built on the solid foundation of Hybrid Theory, pursuing various sounds and becoming one of the only successful bands to meld together rap and metal. This album is great and definately worth the wait with the most outstanding songs being: Hippy's Son, Plastic Hearts, Tired of England, Faultlines and Best Face.... So half the album really, which proves just how great this album is. Infact the other songs i feel are not very far behind and i am sure they will grow on me. This album shows the Dirty Pretty Things find a slightly calmer sound while still keeping that angry, exciting energy. So all in this is a very successful second album and i think they have not fallen into the trap of producing poor quality second albums. This album shows the Dirty Pretty things find their style.

As this album is not as i good as his first i am just going 2 tell you what songs are my favourite Because of you Crazy Can we chill Do you Addicted Leaving tonight Ain't thinking bout you Sex with my ex Angel Make it work Go on girl Say it As you can see most of the songs i like apart from that's what it does. I do really like this album but it is missing a certain something. I can't wait 4 his new album year of the gentleman,i think this album is going to be his best yet. I also felt the same with rihanna's albums, her first album was great but her second one wasn't as good, but her third one was her best. I still feel you need this album in your record collection.
