This amazingly lush offering from the Cure contains a vast amount of rarities and 'B-sides' from their long and successful recording career. It's not really the kind of collection you stick on and listen to all the way through. This is beacuse it's really a feast for committed fans of the band. The Cure were both fabulously precocious and stunningly gifted and this combination meant that they had the balls to try out all sorts of ideas. This also means that 'Join The Dots' contains some deleriously successful bits of music and others that don't quite work. If you like Miles from this period and don't already have these recordings, you can't go wrong with these (at below £5 as of Nov 08). As to quality, admittedly I don't have high end equipment, but I can't tell the difference between disc 3 and my own copy of 'Steamin'. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that there are no liner notes.

This is a surprising collection in that with most rock collections you get the usual songs but with this collection the tracklist is surprising and very varied and rather than rely on the standard rock song's (Ace Of Spades, All Right Now and so on) this offers an array of bands from Glam (The Sweet), Classic Rock (ZZ Top, Alice Cooper), Metal (Judas Priest, Pantera) Alt-Rock (Screaming Trees), Grunge (Alice In Chains). Add to that the fact that you may own some of these songs (as I do) I was quite surprised to find the bulk of this collection was new to me. Add to that the fact that it is 100 songs over five discs at such a great price and you can't go wrong.

This box-set is on a par with the 1965,1966,1967 complete singles collections.these remasters sound amazing,the songs are 'fab and the playing from the "funk brothers" is superb throughout. i urge you to check these cd's out!

The best thing about this box set is the wealth of material from later in the career. Everyone rants and raves about the period from Overkill - Ace of Spades... but haven't you ever noticed that all the songs are boring and sound the same? Motorhead found diversity with Phil Campbell, and not before. Early Motorhead is exceptionally boring to listen to. Lemmy will be the first to tell you that. Albums such as "1916", "March Or Die", "Snakebite Love", "Sacrifice", "Hammered" and "Inferno" are infinitely superior. And there's more material here from the truely finest period of Motorhead's career than from the mundane early part. Essential purchase.

If you are or have been in love, wish to be in love, or loved and lost, there is something meaningful for you in this collection of 54 songs. Matt's voice evokes emotion and is meant to be felt as well as heard, it is warm, passionate and slightly haunting, and he seems to be singing, "to you alone." He sings from his heart, his delivery is distinctive, voice lush, the warmth of his emotive voice touches my heart and it's sure to touch yours too.

This is a fantastic complete collection of the fantastic 80's syntheseiser duo Yazoo (Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke). It contains both of their albums, Upstairs At Eric's (No. 2 in 1982) and You And Me Both (No. 1 in 1983) and a third CD of A-B Sides and 12" Remixes and a DVD of both the albums in 5.1 Mix, Promotional Videos, A Short Film and Yazoo At The BBC. It contains the classic "Only You" which made No. 2 in the charts in April 1982 and my favourite track of theirs "The Other Side Of Love" which made No. 13 in November 1982. The 7" and 12" mixes are on CD3 of this collection as it did not appear on either albums. If you are a fan of the 80's then this is a must buy for your collection, you won't be disappointed. This album is the definite recording of the complete 'Beyond the Fringe', as well as including various extra bits from the American version. The sound quality is what you'd expect from a live recording, but is mainly excellent. This is British comedy at it's best, and is a must-have buy for anyone with an interest in satire, British humour, or just laughing themselves silly!

This 3 cd set is a nice value, but one should note that, excluding the tv series thema (Inspector Morse) lasting 3m30s in its long version, there is no Pheloung music here, only classical music. Out of the 10 cds of Morse I have (Vol 1-2-3, Essential Inspector Morse, Magic of Morse (dbl), this 3 cd set and the first Lewis cd), this is the only one with almost no Pheloung music on it. The (long) version of the Morse thema is the same as found 4 other times on the cds i mentionned, so no news on this part here. Good music though ! Those who want some Pheloung music should have a look on the Lewis cd, which offers nice, profound, Pheloung sounds with, in my opinion, more maturity from the composer.
