The album is very much the same type of style all the way through, which helps the album flow together. The best songs on the album to look out for are 'amie' - a very sweet thoughtful song. 'cheers darlin' - which sounds like something you would sing down the phone to your ex after a few too many drinks. The very powerful 'i remember' which for me, really kicks in with damien rice's reprise. The finally of course you have the very radio friendly 'the blower's daughter' which probably made you think about buying this cd in the first place. To which i say to you, DO IT! DO IT NOW! you will not regret it, i guarantee it!

What strikes me is how fresh this album still sounds after over 25 years. Fast, furious and different, I was only 7 when this came out, so can only imagine just how much this must've rocked the Bay Area scene in San Francisco. It does wear it's influences on it's sleeve, but Metallica were still teenagers when they recorded it (imagine any band today managing the same feat?) and you cannot help but be swept away by the enthusiasm behind the record. It pumps out of every one of James Hetfield's riffs, Kirk's solos (yes Megadeth fans, Kirk's, Dave may still be pissed off and claim Hammet stole all his solos, but c'mon, how much can you memorise without sounding imitation - Kirk shows true original talent) and Lars' drums (although he does sound a ... i love the carpenter's ! it's just pure easy listening, calm and classic album ! when u just want to relax in the bath, take 5 mins from a stressed day this is the album you should choose.

This album is a rarity in modern soundtracks - it doesn't incorporate any "inspired by" tracks in place of the music from the film that made you buy the album in the first place. Bill Conti's music is cool and classy, blends of soulful jazz, carribean music and lounge style tunes. It also includes original recordings of "sinnerman" by Nina Simone - a masterpiece in its own right, and Sting's version of "windmills of my mind" which is an intelligent revisioning of the 1960s original. This is the sort of album one could play at a dinner party or quietly with a glass of single malt. A really excellent Kinks collection. The whole CD drips with classy recordings from a hugely influential band. The price is a steal, the quality is uncompromising. A treasure trove of innovative British music, full of songs that surely require little or no introduction. The Kinks made some superb music & a good cross section can be found here - you really would be barking mad not to get this, it's just ideal !

This is not their best album, worth listening to, definitely. I would urge you to buy it but if it's a choice of different muse albums go for Black Holes and Revelations. Very good lyrics and the songwriting is upto scratch as usual. Still very good.

'Waterloo' is a fantastic ABBA album. All of its songs are simply amazing. My favourites are 'Dance (While The Music Still Goes on)' and 'Gonna Sing You My lovesong.' Allthe others are simply superb as well. ABBA were heading for better success in the future, but still, a fantastically put-together ABBA album. 'Waterloo' is another brilliant masterpiece thats beginning to catch the true meaning of the world of the best pop group of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had previously noticed a band called 30 Seconds to Mars being advertised etc but had never actually listened to any of their songs until a month ago. The first song I hear was A Beautiful Lie...and I was hooked....since then I have bought both albums and have not regretted it. Not only are their albums great but their video clips are brilliantly done. Jared Leto is a very talented actor/musician and has a genuinely brilliant voice which he displays not only on the albums but also live. I would love to see them perform someday

I first heard the song Case of You in the film Practical Magic and thought how wonderful it was. I bought the film soundtrack (the whole music selection for the film was pretty good) and then i bought the album Blue to see what the rest of Jonis work was like. I fell in love with the album so completely, that now i've moved to MP3 and sold 99% of my CD's i can't bear to part with this one. One of the others is Court & Spark. The music is so simple, the strings, drums, and her voice- the most wonderful voice i have ever heard, conveying such emotion that the music and words combined make the whole album an amazing rollercoaster of feelings and thoughts. I'd recommend to anyone who has ever felt any kind of emotion.
