This is the 4th Cd I've bought for baby - and about time I got one this appropriate. Fantastically normal - not folky, operatic or weirdly modern - sung by normal voices with a bit of character for each song. Listened to it loads already and still not annoyed in the slightest.

Wonderful, charming songs that we simply do not tire of. Lucienne Vernay has a perfect voice. The arrangements are enchanting. Mum had great fun finding the lyrics on the internet (it's a shame they don't come with the CD) and then trying to translate into English....We cannot recommend it highly enough - just wish we could also find such a lovely CD in English! Only the old Disney film soundtracks come close.

I bought Sleepytime Lullabies for my daughter who has recently had a baby, thinking it would help get him into a good sleep routine. Not only has it worked but his two year old sister responds as well! The little girl enters into the routine as if it is a game, only to be lulled as the tempo of the music changes into more tranquil songs which induce sleep.Baby, perhaps responding to sound of the heart and womb sounds which he heard so recently, seems to love the gentle, soothing singing. My daughter says that she and her husbsnd enjoy the evenings to themselves.

After listening to this C.D at a friends house, whose son had been given it as birthday gift, i was hooked. Although it is aimed at a young audience (it comes complete with stickers), I genuinly feel that its rich range of culturally diverse music has something to offer everyone. 'Three little birds' is a well known Bob Marley song and on this albumn, his mother, who sings it, brings it to life with classic reggae charm. Along similar lines is Manu Chao's 'Bongo Bong'. A chilled, funky French tune based around the story of bongo playing monkey! This really has got to be heard. This is a C.D that consists of 12 excellent songs. This is a good CD for kids, but be warned that all 3 CDs come with copy protection installed. My kids were really upset when I told them they couldn't put the songs on their MP3 players.

Our whole family loves this cd.My daughter (3,5) loves to dance to "real" music and this is it!The makers really connect with what children like in a not childish way.And on top of that the music grooves and the singing is great!Fantastic!As soon as this cd is playing there's a party in the house. Thank you for making a children cd with respect for the kids!And with so much quality on many levels!

My 2 1/2year old son loves this cd and he wants to listen to it all the time. It has taken the stress out of journeys in the car-and I find myself sing the songs later in the day!! - brilliant CD would recommend it to everyone.

Two stories are truly gruesome and VERY violent. Not prince overthrowing dragon in woods to save princess, gruesome and violent. I mean creeping envy, revenge and sadistic murder of an elderly lady and a young boy (amongst other things)! DEFINITELY NOT for all children by any means. Just had to add this review so more critical (discerning?) parents could be warned if needed. The remaining stories are great. However, The Little Match Girl is very, very sad! But, so true to how some children today must struggle while those with far more than they need walk by. A deeply poignant tale. We were very disappointed BUT only with the two rotten ones.
