This Cd is well worth buying. Firstly it is excellent value for a double disc with over 2 and a half hours of music.The sound is superb and the varition is well mixed and suited. Highlight of this album for me are the haunting and divine Due Tramonti by Ludovico Einaudi (a genius!), a new choir arrangement of Barber's masterpiece Adagio for strings, Chopin's Nocturn Op.72/1 (as featured in 1 of last years best films "The Pianist"). Other highlights come from Arvo Part, Mascagni and Satie. Featured performers include Lesley Garrett, the Philharmonica Orchestra, Trinity College Choir. A fantastic album at a fantastic price, well worth getting, putting your feet up and relaxing and enjoying the beautiful music.

Rob Garza and Eric Hilton dig into their music collection (a rather eclectic one, apparently), and throw together 20 tracks for "The Outernational Sound," a gumbo pot of mellowed out grooves that will satisfy any set of tastebuds. The range of textures and moods runs all over the globe, from Indian influences ("Mathar" by Indian Vibes), old-school American funk (Major Force's "Re-return of the Original Artform"), Latin grooves ("Simbarere" by Antonio Carlos Jocafi), as well as chilled cafe lounge, African rhythms, and a dash of Asian influences. There's also an interesting cover of the Beatles' "Within You Without You" by the Alan Lorber Orchestra, the jazzy "Play it Cool," and Block 16's "Slow Hot Wind." A classic cd. Track 3 is very reminesscent of miles davis middle section of "peace" from in a silent way. This cd goes beyond the end of miles davis life and music. It also has a mix of fat boy slim sounds but is far more muscical and interesting to listen too.
