JUST RECEIVED THIS IN THE POST AND WAS PLEASENTLY SUPRISED I ALSO RECEIVED VOL 1 YOUR PROBLEY THINKING YES YOUR RIGHT STARTED WITH VOL 13 AND WORKED MY WAY BACK THERE IS A METHOD IN MY MADNESS IM TOTALLY HOOKED ON THE CAFE DEL MAR THING IN FACT A FRIEND OF MINE IS HAVING HIS STAG WEEKEND IN IBIZA (WELL 4 DAYS) GUESS WHERE YOULL FIND ME CANT WAIT TILL JUNE AND BACK OVER AGAIN IN AUGUST.CAFE DEL MAR CAN BOAST 2 GREAT THINGS THE MUSIC AND OF COURSE THE SUNSETS.....OH BY THE WAY VOL1 IS BRILLIANT TO BEFORE I FORGET .WISH I COULD GIVE IT MORE THAN 5 STARS KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK C.D.M.

Not your run of the mill money spinner from the record agencies, this album really actually tries to "chill" you out, I have a lot of great memories to some of the tracks on this album so i just had to buy it again after the first one was accidently killed! Bearing in mind i dont usually BUY albums, this should be explanation enough!! well worth buying by anyone who knows a good chill out album when they hear one, Happy Listening.

This isn't consistently brilliant like Play or consistently good like 18, but it does have some simply outstanding material on it. The opening Hymm, for exapmple, and Into the Blue, God Moving Over the Face of the Waters and When it's Cold I like to Die. Those are the dreamy, whistful spacey ones. Also exceptional is Everytime You Touch Me, and I don't usually like that sort of thumping club music. It's tracks like All That I Need is to be Loved that I don't like. I find them discordant and jarring.

Zero7 are so good! Not only they make great albums of their own music, they have also created on this CD an eclectic and fab mix of super chill out, funky music by others. There seems to be no end to their brilliance. If you love Zero7 you should love this album too.

Ah, the wonderful dilemma of choosing a favourite BOC recording remains, despite Geogaddi's best efforts. On the whole, this just sneaks past Music Has The Right To Children for me, but based on number of plays, and considerably way ahead of The Campfire Headphase - which I still have not got used to. It would be quite a task to describe individual tracks for they are numerous and of such varying length. Further, Geogaddi is a near seamless cohesive journey. BOC prove they are master-craftsmen in the electronica genre here, but don't expect too much by way of 'mood-music', this is not really an emotional ride but an extraordinary and exciting journey helped along by some wonderful samples - none more so than the 'geology lecture' ... This is really one of the best albums i have had. Prior to the release of the Cosmic Game, I spent a really long time in the UK going to record-shop after record shop asking if they had "Thievery Corporation" to be told "huh?". I'm sorry, but this is music which deserves better recognition. It's not like they are particularly obsecure/specialist. Amerimacka remains one of my favourite tracks. Its the ambience of chill-out and great vocals on many tracks which really stand this out. If you can get this with Sounds from Thievery Hi-Fi, you can see how far these guys have developed.

The KLF are best remembered for "What Time Is Love?" & their media pranks. This album is just a pure joy to listen to, recorded in a minimalist way. The music is almost background music to Drummond & Cauty's soundscape of rivers, trains, sheep, planes, cars, mad preachers, and everyday sounds that you hear but never takes notice of, but on this album you do. If you can't sleep at night, put this album on in the dark and you begin to imagine you are on a journey around distant lands. The KLF also used samples from Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, Acker Bilk, Jesus Loves You (aka Boy George). I've only just got round to buying 10'000HZ Legend, but I'm so glad I did. This album is a slight departure from Moon Safari. This is more experimental, darker, and somewhat inconsistent in places. Therefore; in my opinion; not every track works. However, the ones that do - work extremely well and there are some great moments here. "Electronic Performers" opens the album well, it's a Kraftwerk-esque electronic bleeps and beats with electronically processed vocals. But for me; by far the best track on the album; is "How does it make you feel?". This "pink floyd-ish" track drifts in beautifully, with wonderful lyrics giving a sense of bleak loneliness.
