The Orbs' Adventures..
The KLF's White Room
The KLF's (The JAMMS) Chillout
Orbital's Brown Album
The Prodigy's Experience
are the only albums that stood out for me from the late 80's/early 90's drug fueled, carefree, acid/warehouse illegal rave days, sadly those days are long gone for me but these albums will always be around to celebrate that loved up generation that lasted for 5 years.
As for the album it's good and stuff (its all been written in the other more intelligent reviews)

While Thievery Corporation's first full album is less sophisticated than their later outings its rawer, less "crafted" style means that its best tracks have a distinctly more exciting edge. "The Glass Bead Game", "So Vast is the Sky" and ".38.45" just jump out of the speakers with their highly infectious mix of electronica, hip-hop & dub while "Shaolin Satellite's" drivingly addictive beats and multi-layered swathes of organs & sitars put it up there with the very best of the whole electronica/dance scene. Others drift, often much too languidly, between genres giving a rambling and disjointed feel to the album as a whole but, if you're a fan of Thievery Corporation or of high quality downbeat "world" music then what's good on it is too good ... 54.In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country by: Boards of Canada

Music : In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country
A legendary EP to many, and perhaps understandably so when you factor in the immense following the previous album has gained over the years. Released two years later, In a Beautiful Place out in the Country is Michael & Marcus Sandison at their most streamlined and condensed. By getting rid of the shorter tracks they definitely lose something crucial, but it's quite refreshing to hear an EP this focused yet still managing to contain the magic that gained them their reputation in the first place.

I'm amazed that this CD has only had one review, as this is a great compilation. To me this vol 3 along with vol 7 is the best of the cafe del mar series. Easy listening and a harmonious mix with some piano music a la cafe style, some light techno, a few dance tracks, some ambient and some jazzy tunes.

Uplifting and worth listening to.

British band Smoke City debuted with "Flying Away," a lush trip-hop album with some hints of sultry South American music woven in there. Imagine Portishead doing bossa nova and samba, and you'll have some idea of what "Flying Away" is made up of.

Starting off with the fluidly sensuous "Underwater Love," the album jolts into the smoky, thumping "Devil Mood," sexy ballads (the slow "With You," the gentle "Giulietta), shimmery Latin music ("Numbers," the pleasant "Aguas De Marco"), and opulent trip-hop ("Dark Walk") before wrapping up with the sweet title track.

"Flying Away" is one of those albums that you just can't pin a label on. To call it one thing -- Latin music, trip-hop, jazz -- would be to leave out everything else this album ... Read More:

The good tracks are very good, moby in classic form. The rest are fairly humdrum film tracks.

If your a fan however "Novio", "God Moving Over the Face of the Waters" and "New Dawn Fades" makes it worth buying on their own.

Let's be honest, some of Morcheeba's albums since Big Calm have not exactly hit the sweet spot. The Antidote is, however, well worth a listen.

This is both definitely a Morcheeba album, and also definitely something else - an engaging 'big sounding' fusion of Big Calm and late 60's, early 70's 'sing along pop' - think of Tony Christie in a blender with Air, with a big twist of Kosheen.

To be honest - if you like Kosheen you'll like this, and vice-versa!

Daisy is not Skye - not better, not worse, just different - and it's easy to feel that, given the opportunity, she could rip out some powerful lead vocals. So, enjoy the new sound and direction, and relish that bands like Morcheeba still explore the soundscapes - and don't sit ... Read More:

I have toyed with the idea of buying a bonobo album for some time now sowhen Amazon offered this one at a great price I couldnt resist.
Now this is a remix and b-sides album so it is a little different to thenormal output from bonobo. I personally prefer the bonobo tracks to theother artists but they are good nevertheless.
This album is great to chill out to and with the impending arrival ofsummer this will definately be playing a lot. My favourites are thescilian and the shark - quality atmospheric music.
Highly recommended.
