Judging from the rest of the reviews, a lot of people like this album. But I'll bet there's quite a few GA fans who are mightily disappointed with it too. It sounds like GA trying to make a MOR pop/rock album. And for me, with the exception of one or two tracks, it just doesn't work.

Good morning house plants, yes that's right - it's wake up time... You see the 5 stars, there's no need to talk about enjoying this album though it can't hurt: Really enjoy this album! Was reading the LJ reviews, hadn't planned to leave one then realized: no mention of the open-eye visual delights that accompany this funky soundcake. Artistically creative and synchronized with the music, a complete trip awaits ~ 21st Century Psychedelia!

If pressed, I'd have to recommend the second cd slighly more than the first, but the overall standard is high. I've played the cd often since receiving it and, even on the ancient hi-fi system I have, it fills the room with warmth.

Sadly I have to say I was disappointed with this compilation. Chill out music? Some tracks were OK but many are boring, bland and repetitious. Perhaps if Cafe del Mar put out less C/Ds, paying more attention to the tracks they would have a better product!

The 'another late night' series spawns into Late Night Tales and what a brilliant mix to aid the transition. Having listened to a few tracks by Nightmares on Wax and based on the pure quality of previous releases in this series I bought this album without listening to it. But as soon as I set it off playing I knew I had made an excellent purchase and this was going to be one funky outing. Keeping to the fantastic eclectic formula that this series has produced so far, NOW has produced a beauty here. Starting off with the cool midnight marauders NOW manages to melt the tracks together so well you dont notice one track finishing and the other starting. I bought this CD during my last 'lads holiday' in Zante 2001. When i play this CD it takes me back to those hot nights, about 5am in the morning after 'living it large' and enjoying every minute of the best days of my life. Drifting into a relaxed state of tranquility as i play this CD in the darkness of the hot apartment, i take a deep breath in and out as i close my eyes and smile at the night's madness. The latest offering from Cafe Del Mar's Bruno is superb, it has you mentally wandering through leafy glades on warm sunny days or lazing by sparkling clear seas with the feel of sand under your feet and the ebb and flow of the tide echoing in your head. You need not be a dreamer to conjure up the sensational sunsets of Ibiza that inspire this mix of melodic genius. I have since ordered Dreams 1 and 2 and look forward to more inspirational tunes in these two albums.
