Josh Groban has an absolutely beautiful voice - a singer that steps on the line between baritone and tenor. It's quite an experience to listen to, and I got his album upon hearing great reviews from my friends who'd listened to him in America beforehand. Check him out, he is indeed very good. He has a very relaxing, lullaby-like tone - in a nutshell. This is a compilation of Christmas songs, but, I (and hopefully, you) can listen to them any time of year - they're very relaxing. :)

Absolutely awful, this is a shoddy complilation of Xmas songs. The sound quality is terrible and the album seems to be a montage of old radio broadcasts. At times it seems that Sinatra is singing with a bucket on his head. If you want real nostalga then this album may appeal but I would advise you to stay well clear.

Just when I thought a nostalgic Christmas was over I came across this super 2 CD set from NotNow. The set boasts 50 songs and a whole host of well known stars too. It is good to have a mix of both American and British stars represented and there are even duets. This is a welcome addition to the Christmas titles offering something just a little different and with Eartha Kitt, David Whitfield, Dickie Valentine, Bing, Dick, Frank, Perry, Nat, Ella, Peggy and Judy to serenade you whilst you cook that traditional roast turkey what more could you ask for? Favourite songs for me are "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"; "Silver Bells"; "Santa Claus got Stuck in My Chimney" and the traditional carols. Good sound throughout and attractive ... I thought this CD had got lost in our recent house move and was delighted when it turned up in one the last boxes to be opened. I immediately rushed to listen again even though it is early March and am once again entranced by the warmth and beauty of the music and the singing. You really can play this CD anytime in the year and that is what I am doing now! If you buy it you will not be disappointed!

Bought this to add some Christmas cheer to the office... we ended up playing "spot the Christmas connection" !! Is a bit like those cheap LPs we used to buy that covered the latest pop records....

I saw this and already have it but I just wanted to say that out of all the artists that have released their Christmas album - this one by Lady Mariah Carey is the BEST to date. Also, because it's 14 years old it's really cheap. So - buy the BEST Christmas album as the bargain of the century.

When I heard Casting Crowns was releasing a Christmas CD, I couldn't wait. I love their music for taking the familiar and making me look at it in a fresh way. So when I got this CD I was a little disappointed with the play list. It is mostly familiar carols. But once I started listening to it, that feeling went away. Yes, the familiar carols are here and are plentiful. Yet they sound beautiful. There are gorgeous harmonies on "O Come All Ye Faithful." The guitar is fun on "Joy to the World." "Sweet Little Jesus Boy" gets a new melody. With a string background, it sounds like a lullaby. And the instrumental version of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" is absolutely breathtaking. This is a great CD, obviously for Christmas. But whatever you do...DON'T PUT IT ON REPEAT! You will soon go insane having this on repeat, unless you love Christmas songs. We bought this to put in a jukebox over Christmas, and it was constantly on! Its good if you are having family round, as maybe background music, but loudly, it would drive you insane...
