My wife and I were fortunate enough to see Michael in a St. Louis concert, met him back stage, told us he had just recorded this album back in November of 2003 and was very proud of the result. Might add this young man made a very positive impression on all who attended that night's show --- he's a first class guy and has everything going for him --- couldn't happen to a nicer person. Pop vocalist of the millennium is Michael Buble, with shades of Connick, Darin, Sinatra and Torme, all rolled into one nice neat package (and that's the plain truth). This is a wonderful CD of classic English folk songs that with be remembered by many who where at school in the 60's. The track "linden lea" by Vaughn Williams is the quintessential English country folk song full of late summer warmth and longing for days gone by. Dame Jane's' voice is perfection personified and will bring a tear to the eye, well worth every penny.

I might well write my previous review of this album anonymously - the theme-tune for the TV coverage of the London Olympics is NOT the Bacchanale from Glazunov's 'The Four Seasons', but the music which the late Ron Goodwin wrote for the film 'The Trap'. The two tunes share an exhilarating,wintry feel, but that is no excuse. Apologies to Ron, and to any readers misled by my error!

Bought this to add some Christmas cheer to the office... we ended up playing "spot the Christmas connection" !! Is a bit like those cheap LPs we used to buy that covered the latest pop records....

As a true Waltons fan I thought it my duty to purchase this DVD and so I recently did. One cannot help but make comparisons between the 'original' cast and the 'actual' cast in the series. Apart from the children and grandma Walton all characters are different and because the series' characters have had so much stronger presence the 'original' cast does not stand much of a chance of winning anyone over. The Baldwin sisters in this film look much more like sisters but one gets the feeling that they are less endearing. Olivia in this film seems almost like a 'psycho', I am sorry if this seems harsh but at one stage John-boy appears almost frightened of her as she seems to be losing it. This is another fantastic album from Jethro Tull a truly excellent experience listening to the stunning music on this album,this album you can listen to all year round but I can imagine sitting beside a log fire with the snow falling unfortunately we dont get any snow here in South Africa but I can sit by the log fire.A very must buy for anyone who like this great band,go get this cd you will love it.Cheers.
