"Katy Lied" is one of Steely Dan's great classic albums ( OK, they all are!) from when they were still a real band, and not "just" the Becker/Fagen duo. The Becker/Fagen aim for perfection is very much apparent here. Great production and playing. Inspired songwriting and dark thought-provoking lyrics. Most tracks are incredible catchy and melodic; especially "Rose Darling" and "Everyone's Gone to the Movies" are likely to "hit" you the first time you here them. The opening track "Black Friday" is a surprisingly heavy track ( for Dan!!) that sets the scene right from the very beginning. This compilation could be the right investment for the buyer who wants only one CD by this band. Featuring their two best known tracks "Somebody to Love" and "White Rabbit" the CD is likely to satisfy the casual buyer. Containing songs from all their 6 studio albums + a couple of live recordings it gives a pretty good general view of the band's recording career. It will always be a matter of taste and a subject to discussion which specific tracks ought represent the various albums on a compilation CD. This ablum is a work of art, and made me into a fan for life. I never ever get tired of listening to each song. Great guitar from Mark, and his words tell wonderful stories. Well worth putting into your collection.

I can't understand why any U2 aficionado would criticise RATTLE AND HUM. I have THE JOSHUA TREE too, which seems to be everyone's favourite, but this one is surely on a par. Well, it's all a matter of opinion, and mine is that it is! Seventeen tracks, no less, and some classics among them. For me the best include Desire, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Pride (In the Name of Love), Angel of Harlem, God Part II, and the best of a fantastic lot: All I Want Is You. Even if you removed all these outstanding songs the album would still be pretty decent. 25 years down the line and this one album contains some of the best rock music in an entire generation. This,without a doubt, is one of DP's greatest album.It has a punch in sound,song writing and rhythm .It is hard to fault this album.If you are looking for good Hard Rock then this is ist.I play this album all the time...and that is a tall order.

Lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels is a crime tale about a group of friends from London who happen to lose a game of poker, they end up in a lot of debt thus having to get out of it. The story takes many twists & turns and will also make you laugh as it has a very good use of wry & dark humor. The plot evolves around one man but there are many characters who share as if not more an important role. The star of the show in this movie is Vinnie Jones who acts brilliantly. I recomed 'Snatch' If you like this.

This is an album which captures a performer at the absolute zenith of his achievement. Morrsion is in complete control of a large and highly competent band and milks his power to the nth degree, changing pace at will and spontaneously with a flick of his hand behind his back as he growls his invocation to soul in a way he has never bettered. There are great cover versions given the celtic soul treatment, such as "Bring It All On Home" and "I Just Wanna Make Love To You". Alongside sit magnificent, innovatory treatments of Morrison classics such as "Into The Mystic", "St. Dominic's Preview" and a simply stunning version of "Caravan", embellished by sumptuous saxophone from Jack Schroer and vibrant, beautiful violin from Nathan Ribble.
