I'm not a big fan of Aerosmith or 'best of' albums for that matter, but this one's pretty decent and is the only Aerosmith one in my collection. It probably has most of their classics on, 'Cryin', Livin' On The Edge', 'Dude Looks Like A Lady' etc. I'm not sure why there has to be a live track on the end though, surley they could have put another track that wasn't already on the album instead? Still, a good introduction to Aerosmith if you don't know them very well.

what is this??? iron maiden are one of my all time favourite bands but this is the worst album i have ever heard. if i bought this and got it home and it had a 50 pound note tucked in the sleeve i would still feel ripped off. stick with the dickinson/dianno stuff. surely someone in the band must have felt that this was going to be a poor album while they were recording it!

My friend lent me his Just Push Play album in exchange for my Nine Lives. To begin with i was slightly dissapointed, it didn't seem to have songs which were as sleek as their previous hits, or quite as edgy as those on the Nine Lives album.
HOWEVER, like every good album its a grower. The albums i want in my cd collection are not those which i love straight away but get bored with (despite the majority opinion i find pink floyd - the wall boring and predictable) i want those which everytime i play them sound better and better.
If you like aerosmith you'll love this album, If you have an eccleptic taste in music you'll love this album. I think its great!

True, there is a fair amount of tosh and drivel on this album - "I love you like sin but I wont be your pigeon" anyone?

However . . . . . .and its a big however . . . . . Dont Fear The Reaper. Worth paying £3 or £4 of anyones cash for that track alone. Throw in ETI, with a bassline that'll have you moving whether you want to or not and Vera Gemini, with guest vocals by Patti Smith (no really) and just skip the rubbish. It's what that button was invented for.

This is one of the worst "Greatest Hits" albums Whitesnake have put out. Why ? It's because so many classic Whitesnake songs are missing on here. Where is the live favourite "Aint No Love In The Heart Of The City" ?. "Dont Break My Heart Again" ? "Ready An Willing" ?. The album does not feature enough of Whitesnakes early work and features too much of latter 80's albums 1987, and Slip Of The Tongue. If you are looking a introduction to Whitesnake buy "The Best of Whitesnake" instead. Dont waste money on this poor effort.

137.Never Turn Your Back on a Friend by: Budgie
January 17, 2005
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Music : Never Turn Your Back on a Friend
I left Budgie alone for many years after seeing them described as 'pedestrian.' They may be many things, but after hearing this album, 'pedestrian' is one of the last words I'd think of. Most of their riff-laden music rattles along at a cracking pace and the less-frenetic moments, especially on 'Riding My Nightmare,' reveal their craftsmanship.
I had heard 'In The Grip Of A Tyrefitter's Hand' before and this is my favourite track, being intense and dramatic. 'Parents' is another highlight and the acoustic version is a welcome bonus. Throughout the album, however, there's so much going on. It isn't all about heavy-riffing, though they do have more licks than an affectionate dog. There are many effortless mood changes and Ray Phillips does a lot more than keep time ... Read More:

138.Heaven and Hell by: Black Sabbath

Music : Heaven and Hell
This album is a masterpiece it has alot of classics like Neon Knight, Children Of The Sea, Heaven And Hell etc. It's pretty sad about the debate between Ozzy and Ronnie why bother debating their both awesome vocalists and both made history in rock/metal, but in my personal opinion Ronnies is a much better vocalist and frontman but that my opinion. Onto the album it's a great album great songs and vocals and Iommis guitar playing is mindblowing, before i got this album i borrowed the album The Dio years of my friend and it blew me away and the first thing i noticed was how amazing Iommis guitar playing it's so different to other guitar players it's magical. Of course Ronnies is amazing as always. My favourite are deffinetly Neon Knights, Heaven & Hell & Children Of The Sea. ... Read More:

I was so surprised when i found out that in fact alot of maiden fans dont like this, whats not to like? Its filled with Iron Maiden classics, I personaly love this album (though i do love all Iron Maiden albums). This album has classics like The Apparition (why does noone like this song is beyond me), Childhoods End, Afraid to Shoot Stranggers wait what the hell am i doing all this album is a classic how can you not like this album. People even say The X Factor & Virtual XI is better then this, dont get me wrong they're awesome album but compared to this album it just doesn come close to this album. This album has great lyrics, great vocals by dickinson (duh), great solos & riffs & awesome drumming by nicko. Fair enough maiden fans having a slight problem with the departure ... Read More:

This is the architypal UFO album where the best line up ever found their true sound. I hate the term "heavy Metal" and don't consider UFO to be anything other than a quality rock band. This album has everything, powerful guitars and rasping solo's like the classic "Lights Out",a beautiful ballad in "Try Me" , melody, orchestral arrangements and the classic "Love to Love". UFO discovered here that they could use keyboards and keep it heavy. All eight songs are great with plenty of variety to make it a real good listen even thirty years on.
