My friend lent me his Just Push Play album in exchange for my Nine Lives. To begin with i was slightly dissapointed, it didn't seem to have songs which were as sleek as their previous hits, or quite as edgy as those on the Nine Lives album.
HOWEVER, like every good album its a grower. The albums i want in my cd collection are not those which i love straight away but get bored with (despite the majority opinion i find pink floyd - the wall boring and predictable) i want those which everytime i play them sound better and better.
If you like aerosmith you'll love this album, If you have an eccleptic taste in music you'll love this album. I think its great!

162.Dynasty by: Kiss
August 01, 1988
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Music : Dynasty
Dynasty is a curious and somehow fitting name for this album. A Dynasty implies a long line of succession, but usually by the time people start using it it means the end is near. So it was with KISS in 1979 when the album was released. The band had lost their way. The four guys from New York (well, one of Haifa) who set out to create the 'heavy metal Beatles' were now marketing figures and comic book stars. They had a new set of costumes that looked straight out of Walt Disney. And then they went Disco...

The album's opener, I Was Made for Lovin' You is catchy and well written if a little basic. It was the band's biggest hit single but is never thought of as one of their best songs. Nonetheless it opens the album strongly ... Read More:

Surely the most underated album from the classic cooper line up.This a wonderfully varied album and not given the recognition it deserves because it is permanently overshadowed by the massive success of Billion Dollar Babies and the subsequent fuss surrounding the unpleasant break up of the band.
The concept is not as prominent as previous albums but the songs are just as strong and entertaining and basically THIS ALBUM ROCKS AND DESERVES A CHANCE.If you're new to alice have no fears about this album it stands comfortably alongside the other cooper classics.

I really like this album, it's a natural successor to the brilliant 'Sweet Freedom' which was a hard act to follow but I think that it does it very well.
Just how I like it.. nice and heavy with lots of special moments not least with the title track which is one of my favourite Heep tunes, a great melody which sticks in your mind and I often find myself humming it for no reason at all. 'Suicidal Man', 'So Tired', 'Something or Nothing' and 'We got We' are all great rockers, well played and produced but (agreeing with the previous reviewer) the star of the show has to be 'I Won't Mind' - a fabulous track full of Heep delights like slide guitar, heavy wah wah solo and some great singing from David Byron.
Gary Thain's bass playing really stands out here ... Read More:

Ozzy Osbourne streamlines his approach to keep up with the emerging trend toward slick, radio-ready metal, but Ultimate Sin is largely unsuccessful, as the performances are flat and uninspired and the material lacks much variety. There are some good moments, including the single "Shot in the Dark," but overall, Ultimate Sin is unable to push past the level of mediocrity.

Original lead guitarist Joe Perry re-joined Aerosmith in 1985, and this album marked the beginning of their hugely succesful late-eighties comeback. It didn't get nearly as much attention as "Pump" or even "Permanent Vacation", partly because it lacks the obvious pop hit, I suppose, but it is actually a very solid hard rock record, perhaps Aerosmith's best since "Rocks".

The production is excellent, the riffs are big and dirty, the arrangements lean and mean, and "Mirrors" opens with one of Aerosmith's best songs of the 80s, the high-energy "Let The Music Do The Talking".
Other highlights include the funky, mid-tempo swagger of "Shame On You", the wonderfully titled groove of "The Reason A Dog", and the gritty, riff-driven two-guitar onslaught of "My Fist ... Read More:

Its that long ago! 75, little did we know that this was David Byrons second to last Heep album.. I have the vinyl and it wasnt played much in the last decade ( if at all ) . so after getting this remastered CD it really has come to life. I all ways enjoy outakes and unreleased vault specials, and this amongst other Heep remasters has plenty. reading the sleeve notes it is amazing to think this group ever got it together to write or record but, Gerry Bron (manager producer and company excec) held the strings of these boys. a classic heep rock album similar in parts to Sweet Freedom and Wonderworld. The one track Im not to taken with is the title track R.T.Fantasy, may be it should of been on last!

This is a totally amazing offering from Iron Maiden, the kings of modern British Heavy Metal, and is definetly the best live album i have ever heard. Every song, even ones i didn't particularly like when they were released, sounds absolutely amazing helped by maiden's excellent musicianship and a dedicated crowd of 80,000 all who knew every word to every song. This album only serves to remind me what an excellent live band maiden are, not only due to their excellent musical talent but also down to the unique way they manage to stir up and excite any crowd. Highlights include "Dream of mirrors", "Iron Maiden", "Evil men can do" and "Fear of the dark." This is a must have album for any Iron Maiden fan and in my view is their finest live album ever - much better than their recent ... Read More:

'Sweet Freedom' released in 1973 at the height of their popularity is without doubt the best written, most consistant, best played and best produced album of them all even topping Demons and Wizards in my opinion for shere overall class blowing the previous album 'Magician's Birthday' out of the water and should have set the standard for the future.
It blasts off with 'Dreamer' - a heavy loud song full of Heep delights with about everything that one could want.. a fantasic air guitar opportunity here..
(Wah Wah by the bucket load), a great start quickly followed by the classic Heep favourite 'Stealin' which is still part of their live set today. Wonderful stuff. Next up is 'One Day' a short, sharp brilliant song which leads us into the title track which is about as good as ... Read More:

After having this CD for a couple months now I can truely say it is one of my Favorite Nazareth efforts. It rocks hard, some great mellow stuff and about track 3...The review about Liar on the American Amazon site by one meathead in particular proved how about 25% of us Americans have completely ignored the last 7 years of absolutely bad behavior and outright treason committed by that common criminal in The White House and his pals as they pillage and rape the treasury stuffing offshore bank accounts under the guise of some sort of religious belief that they are fulfilling Biblical prophesy. Anyone who is ok with that is just plain CRAZY!! Anywho..to me, from what I have seen, I agree with every word of Liar...time will tell. Love the quality of the recording, Mine is a German version and ... Read More:
