Is Great Expectations listening to the same CD as everyone else that has rightly given this CD 5 stars - he is correct in that you had to be there - and I was on many occasions and then later the inferior White Snake & Rainbow -as stated by many this is arguably the best live recording ever made - no contest as far as I'm concerned.- the interplay between Lord & Blackmore - and the pulsating rhythm section is incredible! Others can only aspire!

"The Number Of The Beast" is an absolute classic, a landmark album in music/rock/metal history. And this reissue is an absolute disaster, with the classic cover printed in wrong colors, and the audio victimized by the infamous "loudness war" (Google the expression if you don't know what it means), with the music having been turned into one big mass of distorted noise. I did a full audio analysis of the whole album and just can't understand how the band's label could have let this precious material fall into the hands of inept audio engineers capable of producing something this amateurish. I wonder if the band had any say in these "enhanced" releases. Avoid this thing and buy an older, non-enhanced and non-remastered CD edition of the album if you ... Read More:

Totally awesome album. Every track is brilliant except for 'Fluff' which sucks. Buy or Die.

Just bought this today and it thoroughly deserves to be thought of as the bes tlive album ever from jailbreak to the rocker lynotts charisma shows through especially just before the rocker. all in all for 3 quid even if your not the biggest fan its still worth it. its one fo the best cds i have and will probably remain so.

This album is brilliant. Ignore the negative reviews, this is a great album. The song Changes just reminds me of the awful cover by Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne so I do not like it, but the rest is brilliant. It's what you'd expect from the early Black Sabbath albums a great metal album with a bluesy feel to it. Best songs are Wheels Of Confusion/The Straightener, Under The Sun/Everyday Comes And Goes & Supernaut. Recommended to Black Sabbath fans. I like any Black Sabbath albums as I always enjoy Tony Iommi's guitar playing so no Black Sabbath album is bad. BLACK SABBATH ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

This collection does "exactly what it says on the tin", i.e. delivers a comprehensive but unimaginative compilation of Bad Co's stand out tracks mainly from their first 5 albums. So far so good. Unfortunately, it contains no reference at all to the elusive Live album nor does it give anything away regarding demo's or throw away recordings which make Songs Of Yesterday, the definitive study of Free's career, such a masterpiece. I already owned all of the cd's but bought this because it enabled me to economise on space for my ever expanding music collection. Not much of a recommendation in itself. Good job the music is top notch.

This album is bloody awesome. This is the start of Iron Maiden the great and they only got better and better. Here we have the vocalist Paul Di'ianno who was before one of the greatest vocalist of all time Bruce Dickinson. Paul Dianno is a really good vocalist. My favourite songs are Sanctuary, Running Free, Remember Tommorow, Phantom Of The Opera(amazing), Strange World(which sounds so much like Rainbows Catch The Rainbow) & the classic title song Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden's first 2 albums are occansionaly overlooked because of iron maidens masterpiece The Number Of The Beast but they are damn good albums. This is a great for maiden fans, new maiden fans buy The Number Of The Beast. UP THE IRONS!!!!!

This is essentially Led Zeppelin's best album, due to the fact that no other fireball in their cannon has as much diversity as this one. This is an album for the highway and your 67' black camaro.

It's not often that I buy a CD just because I'm going to a gig and want to know the words, but I did with this one...and I've listened to it so many times I know most of the words to the songs! In all honesty, this is one of the best albums I have ever listened to, never mind bought, and as such, I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone who has even a passing interest in music.
