Head First was the last Heep album I bought. Not paid any attention to them since then, but reading reviews here at Amazon, I took the plunge and bought Awake The Sleeper. Good job I took the advice on offer, because this is a good, solid listen and so nearly a 5 star effort. Good mixture of new and old sounds here, with that great Heep-unique organ accompanying songs throughout. It rocks from start to finish, but a special mention for What Kind of God, which is classic Heep to these ears. Lads, don't think about drawing your pensions yet : there's obviously life in you all still!

Yes im not lying. But mark 2 is verry much the best one. Who does that remind you of? oh yeah deep purple. Not that im complaining. The album is full of classic rainbow. Some like tarot woman should have appeared on a rainbow album (only ever appeared live on dio's holy diver live). The obvious classic is stargazer. Cozy powell's intro is mint. Run with the wolf and do you close your eye's are also great. A classic album well worth the money!

After hearing Backstreet Symphony on the radio I decided to give this band a try, with a name like Thunder and the band being unknown to me at the time, I thought this song would probably be the only great song on the disc with a mix of good and average songs, like most albums, but thought I`d give them a shot - How wrong was I! The CD was put in my CD player and didn't come out for a good week - no - it was a great week! Every song is simply amazing and the more you listen, the better it gets. This is another magical Iron maiden heavy metal masterpiece. The whole album is a classic and one of their best but it's impossible to pick a best iron maiden album. From the classic Aces High to the classic 13 minutes long Rime Of The Ancient Mariner it's all classic heavy metal. You may be reading the reviews seeing some people saying one song is bad on this album no their isn't this whole album is a masterpiece(as i mentioned already). If i had to pick some favourite songs it would be aces high, flash of the blade, powerslave & rime of the ancient mariner . This is the perfect start to Iron Maiden the albums Number Of The Beast, Piece Of Mind and this are the albums everyone should start off with with maiden. wow this is a great compilation. i like most of these songs. can't get enough is my favorite. i also like electricland, title song, moving on, run with the pack and rock n roll fantasy too, those are really great songs. i highly recomend this compilation for people that like good music.

This is my only Deep Purple album and I absolutley love it's such a good album each song is brilliant from start to finish. This is obviously most famouse for the famous rock riff Smoke On The Water how can you not like that song. The best songs are Highway Star, Picture Of Home, Smoke On The Water & Space Truckin'. Deffinetly a Rock album to buy and deffinetlty should be considerd a classic. DEEP PURPLE ROCK!!!!!!

Thin Lizzy has always been big because they are one of the most famous rock bands and the fact that they are Irish and that type of hype never appeals to me it's happend to bands like U2 & Snow Patrol, and they arn't as good as everyone says they are. But Thin Lizzy are a great irish rock n roll band. Made famour by their songs The Boys are back in town & Whiskey In The Jar, they are more then just those 2 awesome songs. This album for example, all the songs are excellent and some brilliant rock n roll riffs.With classics likes Jailbreak, Angel From The Coast & of course The Boys Are Back In Town. This is a brilliant way to start with Thin Lizzy if you're curious about the band, you will already know The Boys are Back In Town so you won't be dissapointed with it. I bought this on tape when it first came out, then gave it away. If you like rock, want ot hear KISS's hits, how the were recorded, buy Double Platinum, and then just buy Creatures of the Night, Lick it Up, Asylum, Crazy Nights, Revenge, Psycho Circus, and then Carnical of Souls. And Guys, I I have them all, been to see them 6 times, will try and get to Download (was at the front last time at Donnington), and must advise you all to get out there and see "The Hottest Bad in the World, KISS" live and in the (probably decaying) flesh! Also Alive, Alive II, Alive III, and Alive IV are very much worth buying...

I now own all of Maidens albums. Over the last few weeks i have listened to them all, and this one has to be their best. I really love that raw early sound which they had but appeared to lose once bruce took over. dont get me wrong, bruce did a fantastic job and i really think the number of the beast is his best record with the band. but there is something very special about the sound the band had on the first two albums. something that has never been repeated. When the band released 'no prayer for the dying' in 1990 they were trying to recapture that sound they had around the time of killers. they never recaptured that great sound. Paul Dianno did a great job on this record, the production is top notch. Because of the poor production on the first album his voice didn't come accross that powerful. Thats why ... Read More:
