From the first moment I heard this album when released the power that came out of the grooves of my record player just blew me away and over 30 years later it never fails to send shivers down my spine on every listen. Every track is fantastic I can't pick out a favourite.

a great selection of songs by a great band, buy this along with the 1994 greatest hits and the 2004 early years compilation then you would truly have the very best of whitesnake!

This album is flawless, Led Zeppelin jamming though their greatest hits live. The most striking thing is the sound quality, it's clear and crisp and absolutely punchy! Led don't stop on this album, at all, each song sounds slightly improvised and jammed. The rock highlights, like Immigrant Song, kick you right in the ears and the slower numbers, like Thats The Way, pull at your heart, they're very emotional and heartfelt. All in all, this album is like having a private Led Zeppelin concert in your room, and common, who wouldnt want that?

Yes they can. This album is amazing starting the album off with nickos awesome drum intro then going into an awesome song which is Where Eagles Dare, awesome great chorus and solos and riffs and of course vocals. Revelations is an amazing song a bit slower but still got those riffs and an awesome solo again i dont need to mention the vocals again. Flight Of The Icarus why do some maiden fans have a problem with this i love it great song and chorus and solo, Die With Your Boots is another classic. Then the obvious classic on this album The Trooper a rocking track brilliant solos and lyrics and an awesome riff it has classic written all over it. Still life it has a strange intro to it but it's awesome. Quest For Fire this is the wrost song on the album still ... Read More:

The Very Best Of Rainbow covers the whole spectrum of the group between 1975 - 1983 on one disk. It kicks of with 7 tracks fron the Ronnie James Dio period between the 3 albums, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Rainbow Rising & Long Live Rock 'N' Roll. Ronnie James Dio leaves for Black Sabbath and he his replaced by Graham Bonnet only on one album Down To Earth, 2 tracks are lifted from the album, he is then replaced by Joe Lynn Turner who covers the last 3 Rainbow albums Difficult To Cure, Straight Between The Eyes and Bent Out Of Shape, 7 tracks are drawn between the last three. Overall the Dio period is the best, there are some OK highlights from the post Dio period hence the 4 stars. Dont be put of by that its worth purchasing just for the Dio period ... Read More:

After hearing, "Loved Walked In" for the first time two weeks ago, I had to find out more about this band so I bought this greatest hits album next day, what can I say, it's amazing!!! Some really great songs and an album that's encouraged me to order more of their CDs. Thunder Rock!!!

3 CDs Led Zeppelin live in pristine sound quality is a dream come true. This is vintage and true Page-Plant-Jones-Bonham. CD 1 proves it all. CDs 2 and 3 show indeed why punk treated them as dinosaurs: over-indulgent, boring, too long versions alternate with a few gems (Dancing days, Rock 'n' roll). These and all the CD 1 tracks could have made a world class single live album.

even though it was stated as new release for 2008 Deep Purple's best of is merely the same compilation that was released ten years ago as i came across it in co-op so don't be fooled by the release date as there is nothing new on this dissappointing best of.

How anyone, even die-hard Zeppelin fans, can give this four or even five stars is way beyond my comprehension. The circumstances surrounding the band during its recording are well-documented (Page and Bonzo strung out, Plant injured then stricken with death of his son) leaving JPJ as the main contributor here. Zeppelin's bassist does a good production job, particularly on the atmospheric opener In The Evening and the slow-blues closer I'm Gonna Crawl, but overall this is the sound of a band whose best days were well behind them, fighting to remain relevant in a world of New Wave and post-punk. Page's playing is all over the place. The mighty riff for In The Evening is an exception, instead we are left with the appalling country & western ... Read More:

Sandwiched between the fifties-influenced and bluesy "In Rock" and the "heavy rock" classic "Machine Head", "Fireball" is most people's third choice in the magnificent early 70s triptych from Deep Purple. Granted there are not the anthems like "Highway Star", "Child In Time", "Smoke On The Water" or "Speed King" on this collection, but there's still some great hard rock in tracks like "The Mule", the title track, the extended blues rock workouts of "Fools" and "No One Came" and the iconic single "Strange Kind Of Woman". "Anyone's Daughter" is a bizarre trip into country rock that no doubt appalled the band's fans at the time !
