Definitely a quality performance from the Buzzcocks, one of the great 1st generation Punk bands of the 70's onwards and still playing live to this day, very good quality sound too which is a bonus, because as rightly pointed out, a lot of bands years ago had poor quality recordings of live performances doing the rounds, so this is well worth the money.

Music : Mia - the Complete Anthology
It may be a little bit of a liberty to describe this band as the best-ever but that's not to say that this CD is complete studio works of a truly great band.
The CD starts with the ultimate lo-fi debut single "Forming", a great song despite (or perhaps because of) the very basic recording quality. It sets the scene for this incredible collection and the amount of times it's been covered or ripped off is a testament to its quality. The b-side "Sex Boy" is a very interesting song but this time the recording quality is a HUGE let down. The next three tracks (the Lexicon Devil ep) are amongst the best matching great songwriting, fantastic performances and great recording quality. The GI lp is up next and almost as good, it's standout tracks being ... Read More:

Incredible full-lenght cd with the wisest of selections from the whole discography of the band.Really gives you a chronological panorama from their first chaotic songs through their noisecore year to the last streetpunk albums. After this, they would take a more grindcore direction.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!

I have always loved Siouxsie and the Banshees, they were my favourite band for a long time, but I had not played anything by them for many years. So coming back to JuJu reminded me just how incredible they were at the time and while it is 'of it's time', JuJu sounds as great now as it did back in 1981. Definately the best album The Banshees made. If you only have 1 Banshees CD in your collection, make it this one. Forget the goth label, they may have accidentally created the goth scene, bu they were never a goth band.

I remember when I first heard about this album as a teenager in 1981. I asked the main punk in our street what it was like and he just said "Yeah, it's a laugh!" and wouldn't elaborate. So I went and bought it, assuming it was an album of songs. This album contains NO songs, apart from small snippets from ads, and is, for the most part, made up of interviews. Upon discovering this I was initally shocked as I'd been wondering how "songs" with titles like 'Big Tits Across America' were going to sound(!).

This album is in fact a collection of interview clips; adverts for TV & radio; and various other odds and sods edited into one big montage. The aforementioned 'Big Tits Across America' is around ten minutes long and features a US radio phone ... Read More:

Even as a huge Ramones fan I'm afraid that I must agree with the last review. Although Animal Boy is by no means a bad album it really lacks the spark and magic of any of the Ramones earlier work and is completely ruinedby the over the top production. It does have some high points though, the opener "Somebody Put Something In My Drink" is a great catchy track whilst the closer "Something To Believe In" is a good enough song to survive the bewildering descision to replace Johnny Ramone's trademark guitar with godawful 80's synths. However the majority of the other songs are pretty awful (especially the suitably titled "Crummy Stuff") with the only exceptions being "Love Kills" (Dee Dee's tribute to his friend Sid Vicious) and "My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down" ...
