what a gread cd, this lady sings really good, a very best album well worth buying.

I decided to take a walk in the past and buy this collection - it's superb. It's sing-a-long as every track is well known, well remembered. None of it has dated, none of it. The voices are superb, blending so perfectly on every track. My only complaint, it isn't long enough but then the CD player will keep repeating it until I stop it, so that isn't too much of a problem... It's sunshine music. It's memories and good listening, it's sing-a-long and listenable, it's every cliché in the book and then some. Buy it.

I first found out about Within Temptation when they joined Road Runner Records and after purchasing The Silent Force i thought id investigate some of the older albums. With the Silent Force it was a little heavier then this album which is ok cause this way it showed that they just kept evolving with the present day music BUT if you want to hear Within Temptation on a mellow-level lower and smoother then their current albums "The Silent Force" + "The Heart Of Everything" then it would be worth checking out how Within Temptation sounded a long time back. My favourite song on here would have to be Mother Earth cause it was soooo smoothing and relaxing for me and to almost here a story about mother nature through a song is a rare thing in music these days ... I only recently got into WT after seeing them support Iron Maiden at Twickenham and this was the first album I bought. It is quite simply brilliant. Comparisoms with Evenescence are unwarrented as WT are in a different league. This album is an excellent place to start but the earlier ones are brilliant as well (especially Mother Earth). the music also transcends the generations as all my 3 teenage boys have become WT fans as well has many of their freinds at school. Buy this album if you have any interest in melodic rock - you won't be disappointed.

It is as simple as this, if you are a fan of the Jackson 5, then this is a CD that you must have. The CD contains most of the hits, from 'I Want You Back' to 'ABC'. The only thing that disappointed me about this CD is the absence of 'Who's Loving' You?' which in my opinion is one of the Jackson 5's greatest songs. This is a worthwhile addition to any CD collection. For the definitive Michael Jackson/Jackson 5 compilation, check out "Jackson 5/Michael Jackson [3 CD BOX SET]"

It's hard to review this sort of thing, because you either liked it when it came out or you didn't. If you didn't, this review will hardly sway you. If you did, then you'll be buying it for the the memories. It's got some great disco tunes on, some of which can be heard near kicking out time in clubs, or on the top floor of Pals (all you Ipswich lot). A great buy and good to upload to your iTunes and pick and mix.

The Temptations were one of Motowns hottest and most versatile acts. They began their career as The Primes, singing on street corners in the ghetto areas for blacks in Detroit with Diana Ross And The Supremes (then known as their sister group, The Primettes). After signing to Motown in 1961, they took a seperate road from The Supremes and before long, were pumping out to what would amount too, an endless river of classics. This album won't grab you at first. I had it a while before it got under my skin. Just be patient, you will be richly rewarded. Strongly recommended. ..oh and check the sound quality. This album is nearly 35 years old and it gives plenty of modern recordings a complete pasting.

James Brown was always a big fan of Christmas - in fact, he recorded several Christmas albums over the course of his career, including a rare Internet-only release just a couple of years before his passing. That aside, 'Funky Christmas' gathers together tracks from each of Brown's festive LP's, so fans can have him on the stereo instead of Cliff Richard (sorry, Cliff)! This record places more emphasis on his soul work, and there are not as many funky grooves as some might expect. It is also surprisingly serious, even grim in some places, as James sings of Christmas in the ghetto, and trying to get by without a dime in December. A previous reviewer made mention of the absence of 'Dancing on The Ceiling'. Didn't really notice it when you have old hits such as Hello, Penny Lover, Say You Say Me, Three Times a Lady and practically the rest of the album save 'Do It To Me', 'My Destiny' and Love Oh Love. The latter really turbo boosts an already rocket powered album.
