"Heavier Things" is John Mayer's second studio album which was released on September 9th of 2003. The style on this album is soft-rock, as this comes from a period before he transitioned into blues. The album consists of 10 tracks, including the Grammy award winning "Daughters". The title of the album appears to be an answer for those who criticized Mayer's music as being too light. The album opens with "Clarity", a song for which the meaning is not all that clear, but in general it seems to be about Mayer's self-perception. Has much has i Like Dolly Parton, I do wonder how many more times are her managers going to release her Greatest Hits & Best Of Albums. I think she should come back and do something New!! I brought Dolly Partons Greatest Hits back in 1999 The Album i have is a 2x Disc version With the same songs and same listings in the exact same track listing order has these 2 seperate Albums!! Why it has been Re-released has two seperate Volumes is beyond me, Especially when the version i have is still avalible to buy. I have given this a 4 Star if it was a New greatest hits it would have got a 5 Star, However it isn't. And plus it's not Dolly's thought i blame the record company!!! :-)

In my honest opinion, no other song on the planet can reflect the spirit of christmas as these songs of Jim Reeves can. They are simply heavenly and only valued by those who still spiritually active to some extent.

Sugarland's debut album 'Twice The Speed'was different and sparkling and thoroughly enjoyable. It did have a few weaker moments. Thier second album 'Enjoy The Ride' was poor. It was one paced poor quality Bon Jovi type country rock although it had a few good moments. Thier third album, this one, is very good. It has variety, energy, good songs, some very good songs, with really good vocals from Jennifer Nettles. She is the voice of Sugarland, you rarely hear her duo partner. This has some of the better parts of the second album, has built on the first album and added to it. Really enjoyable and recommended.

This is a fantastic collection of songs, and perhaps the best of all the albums which sprang from CSN. It has Crosby's strongest selection of songs, including the amazing Games and the haunting and moving Where will I be? This and Wind on the water represent Crosby and Nash's creative peak, with or without S and Y.

If you like the recent crop of character fuelled narrative records from Ry, then this is for you. Paints wonderful images with his lyrics and often profound emotions with his music. A true new world genius.

I came to the Felice Brothers blind, but Oh! what a discovery. It could be tempting to pigeonhole them, focusing on the Dylanesque quality of the vocals, but this would be a mistake. The vocals are of a burr that seems to combine Guy Clarke and Levon Helm with a shot of Jack Daniels!! Now saying they sound like Dylan would not have conveyed that AND missed much more. The harmonies are almost theatrical in their feel, but the theatre in this instince is the Catskills not Carnegie Hall. There is for me a feel of ribald earthiness, where the excellent lyrics and music combine to produce a soundtrack to a way of life, or a feeling for life. If you're like me and have never paid any interest to KD Lang before now and have not heard any of her stuff except 'Constant Craving', then read on. I stumbled upon this album a couple of months after it had been released. As usual, I searched YouTube for any tracks on there to get a first impression and to see if I wanted to investigate further. I also watched a recent interview with KD, interspersed with tracks from Watershed. I heard 'I Dream Of Spring' and really liked it. I thought I'd download the full album and give it a listen. I love it! It is full of delicate acoustic guitars and beautiful strings (but not overbearing), as well as soft percussion. The best thing though, is KD's voice.
