The Byrds along with The Velvet Underground the most underrated band of the 60s. The Byrds probably the founding fathers of Psychedelia, mixing folk,country and psychedlic rock makes them one of the most influential bands of all time. Starting With Mr Tambourine Man one of the finest covers of all time, with a fantastic guitar riff, Turn,Turn,Turn and brilliant riff as well and one of my favourite Byrd Songs, and ofcourse the unmistakable Eight Miles High one of the finest Psychedelic songs of all time, Featuring Dave Crosby and Roger McGuinn recognisable 12 string guitar maes the Byrds in my view just as important and influential as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and the Kinks, this is just a brilliant Compilation.

The tracks listed for this disc,with the exception of dylan, Kenny Rogers & Townes Van Zandt are foreign to me as regards the movie. Where are the tracks by Credence, the beautiful title track "Tumbling Tumbleweed" and the end title track by Shawn Colvin,"Viva Las Vegas"?? Most of the other listings on the disc,have no association with the film for me.

Meloncholic melodies, moving cello and ethereal vocals set a mellow mood on this excellent CD.In essence folk orientated vocals over light bluegrass / old timey backing provide a winnning formula which whilst cast in the Americas, is easily assimilated to British ears. A sure fire winner.

I find it sad that so few people know Beth's music so I tell people about this and always have it in the car. Her voice matches her melodies, and the production is usually understated which makes it all the more pleasant. If you don't recognise any songs here, do give it a chance because you'll be glad you did!

The thing that strikes me the most about Kellie's sophomore album is how mature she sounds.Her songwriting and vocals have become a whole lot stronger since her debut album Small Town Girl.These last two years touring has really paid off for her.She's also changed her sound a little,it's a more radio friendly pop/country.But Kellie really pulls it off nicely! It includes the first single Don't You Know You're Beautiful(great lyrics to this,very empowering) and the current single Best Days Of Your Life,co-written with Taylor Swift who also provides the harmonies.This is one of the standouts,a seriously in your face kiss-off uptempo that will have you reaching for the repeat button. I bought this cd after watching Bliss on sky for a few weeks and thought that Amazed was absoultely brilliant, the whole cd is fantastic and brilliant versions of Walking in Memphis and gimme all your lovin. Also thought I'm Already there was a real heart string puller. If I had got married this year rather than last year Amazed would definitely have been our song.
