3 stars because a few of the songs on this album are really good. but it was released at the time of her 'bennifer' relationship with mr affleck and that was disaster enough. the album is a bit lovey dovey and the 'ben' song makes me gag a bit, and must be embarrassing for both of them now. and in the album cover she wears real fur!!! which is one of the negatives about j.lo! other than that i'm a big fan. the album though - it's not her best effort but it passes - just.

If you are not so sure about Bossa Nova music, then I can recommend this album for the Ice Cool versions it present of Mas Que Nada, Wichita Lineman, the Beatles songs and especially Scarborough Fair. They are stunning!

Having bought "Insomniac" and liked it, I have now got "7". This is equally as good and is full of strong tracks. From upbeat rocky numbers to ballads these are all there and sound very polished and atmospheric. If you liked his hit singles get all three of his English albums. You wont regret it! I have also bought "Escape" and it is right up there too!

I heard this music on myspace and instantly fell in love with it. When I read the review below, it quite saddened me and I felt this music needed to be spoken well off. It is often a shame when people believe that their opinions are the only ones that matter and everyone else may as not exist, to the level that they have to dehumanise the efforts and artistic expressions of other human beings....(artistic fascism.) There is nothing more inhumane than this view. To me, this music IS "angelic" and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I admit that it might not be for everyone. (Bob Marley's my favourite and yet a couple of my really close friends just can't get into him.)Everyone's different, get over it. However, only a fool will find himself ripped off ... Read More:

Following on, and using the same winning formula as the collection In Africa, and In Brazil, we now have Back In Brazil. Gilles' decision to have a full CD of archive stuff alongside a CD of new stuff is better than it sounds...there are some great Brazilian tunes in the vaults, and I have found myself listening to classics from the sixties and seventies quite a bit, although admittedly I prefer the new stuff. Disc one, Das Velhas, (the oldies?) highlights are wide and varied from Salsa orchestras to intimate Bossa Nova tunes, but my faves are Jorge Ben (natch), Luis Eca's intriguing loping sound, and Antonio Adolfo's sweeping big band arrangement. 31/2 stars. ...but it's disc two that really cuts the mustard.
