My first impressions after listening to this album were it could've been alot better. I think J lo trys too hard on some of the tracks to give this remix CD a more hip hop feel, with cringeworthy results. It seems this is just another way for Jenny to rake in cash from the fans, along with her, perfume, jewellery, clothing lines etc... However if you are going to buy this album I recommend the tracks, ain't it funny (murder remix featuring Ja Rule & Caddillac Tah), walking on sunshine (metro remix), feelin' so good (bad boy remix) and waiting for tonight (Hex's momentous radio mix).

I cannot add any more superlatives to the ones that have already been given to this Grammy-winning album. It is a release that never falters; every cut is worthy of inclusion. Being a forty-year fan of Sergio Mendes has given me a slightly bent bias toward him and everything that he has done. The current crop of popular Latin artists needs to give credit to this trailblazer and master musician. I'm glad that new musicians, like Will.i.am are discovering Mendes's sound and bringing him again to the masses.

The sleeve note claims this is a salsa album made by Scottish musicians who love Latin music and by South American musicians who love Scotland. It's a love affair to be encouraged. The rhythms will be familiar to all who have bought Santana's last couple of albums. The instruments include horns (sax, trumpets, trombone) guitar, fiddle, percussion, piano, accordion and, yes, bagpipes. Pipes have rarely sounded less military, or less highland. A reminder that pipes are international, not principally Scottish. They don't dominate here, but provide a texture that complements the horns. if you buy this, i hope you can move your feet fast! i found it very fast moving and quite difficult to follow at times. Maybe if you're good at dancing this would be good to buy. I keep trying the moves anyway as it is a real laugh. But it's not for the faint hearted. good music and beats though.

If you love music you will love this CD only because Jose is such an accomplished artist. He is by far the best guitar player in his field and an accomplished singer as well. A lovely CD full of fantastic music.
