Combining many of flamenco maestro Paco Pena's DECCA LPs to form this greatest hits CD, one can hear clearly hear the style of playing so prominent in the 50s-70s. All the styles represented on the CD are a joy to listen to, especially the less commonly heared ones of today such as Rondena, Milonga and Tiento; and the three Buleria are stunning. As an introduction to "proper" flamenco not the poor quality of Costa Del Sol tablao playing or "flamenco-inspired" guitar playing; Paco's Fabulous Flamenco touches all the buttons and does its job superbly. Highly recommended for all newbies.

If like me you used to dismiss music that was not sung in English, then buy this now and change your view on the music out there in the wide world. I got into Manu Chao by chance when I spoke to a very knowing person who advised me to try him out. Not many people have heard of Manu Chao presumably because he is just not written about in the British music press. The music itself as described by others is a mix of world music, sung in several languages including English. The songs just bring joy and addiction. I haven't stopped listening to this album since buying it. It is hard to describe what the music brings to me, but a smile to my face. Those at "The Only Album You'll Ever Need" studios have really succeeded in putting together an excellent arrangement of 34 masterpieces for the classical guitar in "The Only Guitar Album You'll Ever Need." It is true that classical guitar playing attracts only a limited range of people, but even if you only mildly enjoy or are the slightest bit interested in hearing works by famous guitar composers such as Rodrigo, Villa-Lobos or even Bach, then "The Only Guitar Album You'll Ever Need" won't fail to please you. Some real gems here. Granted some of the tracks have been released on other compilation records (namely Gilles Peterson's; indeed Forge used to DJ with Gilles back in the eighties; check out their excellent Dingwalls record) but that's because the songs are excellent. There's a nice mix of funk, jazz, folk and soul here that is sure to make your average party goer stand up, take notice, and applaud your unique and well flavoured musical taste.

These two young people are simply stunning, and if you have ever suffered from the slightest amount of pain in your fingers, watch Gabriela's masterclass on youtube! It'll make you wince.

First heard these songs on the film 'Life Aquatic' and couldnt wait to get the CD. These songs are so beautifully and romantically sung by Seu George. Even if like me you dont know a word of Portuguese it is stll fabulous. Great for listening to in bed to lull you to sleep.

First heard these songs on the film 'Life Aquatic' and couldnt wait to get the CD. These songs are so beautifully and romantically sung by Seu George. Even if like me you dont know a word of Portuguese it is stll fabulous. Great for listening to in bed to lull you to sleep.

This is the most thrilling, exciting sound I have heard in ages. What amazing talent and energy! I cannot stop playing it night or day, it is so uplifting. Even when I am not playing it, the rhythms and melodies keep coming into my head and I find myself nodding,tapping my feet or drumming with my fingers in tempo. The sound quality in general is absolutely superb, however, can anyone explain the small blip of interference between track 2 and 3 ? It only lasts a few seconds but I think this couple deserve perfection in the recording of their performance. I was also a little disappointed in the quality of the DVD production. In spite of these criticisms I heartily recommend this album and still give it five stars!
