If anyone would want to appreciate Arabic songs, he must start with Amr Diab. Anyone who would listen to him would fall in love with his voice, the melody and the pain that is contained in it. Listen to his songs and you will for sure be one of his fans. I am not much of an Arabic music person, but this guy I love him. EVEY PENNEY IS WORTH IT FOR THIS CD.

Had I not heard Gotan Project before this I suspect I would have been a good deal more impressed. Unfortunately I had and was seduced by many references to and comparisons with Gotan and then really, really disappointed. If you want tango-electronica, go for Gotan, you won't need to bother with this.

As eluded to by most other reviewers (and every bit of Ozomatli marketing) time out magazine described Ozomatli as the best live act in the world. Having seen them live 5 times, i can say this is firmly true. In fact I don't think any other band comes even remotly close, the crowd interaction, atmosphere and vibe are all unbeleivable. Considering this, any cd is never going to do Ozomatli justice, and sometimes its hard to see past this. However Street Signs is a superb album in itself, a unique blend of styles and excellent production make this cd a joy from start to finish. A mixture of high octane, emotional, political and downright party music. Great fun to sit and listen to but to do it justice you just gotta get off your ass and dance!!!!!

I discovered Juanes last year after buying La Camisa Negra and Mi Sangre, which started me trying to track down his previous albums. I've been pleased to find that both Fijate Bien and Un Dia Normal are just as good. My favourite tracks on here are Podemos Hacernos Dano, Destino, Fijate Bien, Sonador and Para Que, although it's tough 'cos they're all really good songs, several with a serious point to make about the state of his country (he's from Colombia). I'd recommend this album to anyone who likes rock/indie style music and if you don't understand Spanish, albums like this may well make you want to learn!

I discovered Juanes last year after buying La Camisa Negra and Mi Sangre, which started me trying to track down his previous albums. While being much into the Hip Hop/Dance seen i also like some tuneful upbeat rhythms and beats to keep me happy. This album is awesome with its mix of sumptuous rhythms and explosive beats which energise you and keep you in high spirits. Ricky Martin is a talent not appreciated in the U.K. because of the lack of similar standard in the latin jambre. However, after hearing Maria (un dos tres) this has made me wonder why we haven't heard more of Ricky Martins music in the U.K. This guy is a sensational talent who has had his fare share of critisism in the past but i feel that if people actually listen to his music instead of listening to stereotypical people they will learn to love music such as this.
