Unlike the previous reviewer, I think this is great. It feels like old-style Afro-Cuban, with a wonderful atmosphere. And it's totally danceable - but sensual rather than frantic.

We have heard it all before. We have read it all before but it has never sounded so good as this. A well packaged 3 cd box with photo & text booklet. Care and attention has gone into the production of this set of Bolan's BBC radio recordings and at an affordable price, its well worth adding it to any Bolanites collection or just as entertaining to the uninitiated.

A nice set of ballads, Luis Miguel style. However, in this new CD we can see his dark side as well, with lyrics that can take a hit to anyone's heart who has ever suffered a fall. Luis Miguel has done it once more... captured the attention of the world... Congratulations!!!

This CD has 11 tracks nine of which are quite superb. If it were possible I would've given it 9 stars. It is a great buy just to listen to. However if you are a tango dancer it is a little bit more complicated. So if you are a self appointed guardian of the purity of tango music and think not a single piece of music written after 1st Jan 1950 is worthy of the title "tango" then steer well clear of this CD. If however you have been born with imagination and an ear capable of listening & a rudimentary sense of rhythm you will enjoy dancing to this selection greatly.

With this purchase you will receive Techari played live in Barcelona in its entirety on cd and also dvd. The track order is slightly different to that of the studio album but that really doesn't matter. Any fan of this band and Techari will be blown away by how good Ojos de Brujo are when performing this material live. There are about 20 people on stage all playing a huge array of instruments with many guest appearances from people like father freddi. I'm not sure of the band members names but all I can say is that they all give 100% and all produce a carnival atmosphere on stage. It really is breathtaking to watch. I'm not usually a fan of live cds but on this occasion you get all your favourite Techari tracks played with passion and raw talent ... Read More:

At least 5 superb tracks and another 3 quite lovely ones are presented on this compilation. You would love it specially if you are looking for a mix of very new with scratchy pieces of very old tangos. Quite exceptional value for money.

Chambao apparently is a word for a tent used on the beach around Malaga. The implication is sun, sea, and gentle partying; not out in a harsh burning sun, but in a more comfortable, warm, protective space. Not a flat out rave, but a chilled event with friends and relaxation. This is pefect music for that context. It's borrows heavily on traditional flamenco, keeps rythm, interest and passion, but takes off some of the jarring rough edges to make creative, interesting and fresh music with universal appeal Hard to beat!
