The GREATEST SINGER EVER !!!! There are many great singers in this world but Aretha's in a class no one can top. My Elite List (which includes Aaron Neville and other legends) has Aretha at the TOP !!! That voice is from a place none of us will ever get to. Angels blessed Aretha's vocal chords and went back and blessed them again. This album has so many unbelievable classic songs. Aretha is one of my heroes. If I could sing like her for the day it would be a dream. An outstanding album. Listen with amazement. Enjoy every second. You will love every song. Aretha...THANK YOU SO MUCH. Your voice lifts my spirit and to be in your presence would be a dream.

Im only 18 and i think that teenagers get a bad rep,yes i love hip hop and yes sometimes i might were a hoody,but i aint gonna hert anyone,and i can apreciate good deep music like this,classic music for any mood.

This album blew my mind when I first heard it 15 years or so ago. From the first to the last this album reaches the pinnacles that other artists just cannot. To think that it is over 30 years old to me it sounds fresher and more vital than most of the bland R&B that is being offered up today. Also it's political message still blows me away. This album is so good that everyone should own it. Infact if you know someone who doesn't get them a copy. It would count as a genuine act of kindness on your part. It's just a shame he's not still with us.

After hearing about this group through friends I had to check them out - a few expensive downloads later I had tickets to their concert and I haven't looked back since. This is a fantastic album from track one right through to the end. Smooth lyrics, matched to even smoother basslines, piercing horn sections and samples adding that extra something. If you get the chance see them live, if you don't get this album. And if you like it, even just a little bit, explore some of the other brilliant music coming out of New Zealand.

The only way to watch this is with the sound turned down. The soundtrack is muffled and poorly dubbed. The storyline would bore a five year old and the girls voices had the sex appeal of Andy Pandy. Quite the most tedious film I have ever watched half of.

Abba in the groove - same formula, similar songs but everything still sounds as fresh as ever and the hits and memorable songs keep rolling off the production line without anything sounding hackneyed. Yes it's all as fresh as ever and choc full of outstanding songs like "Super Trouper" with the immortal lines "I was sad and tired of everything, when I called you last night from Glasgow" and the brilliant break-up song "The Winner Takes it All." Elsewhere "Our Last Summer" and "Happy New Year" are evidence of spot on songwriting. There is an inherent sadness about this album with strong lyrics a million miles away from those of five years previous. Abba had come of age. I once had Bensons'Greatest Hits and listened to the album over and over again..Then I gave it to a man I loved, cause he loved him aswell. That love is gone now, but my love for Mr.Benson is as srong as ever. This cd holds all the songs I've once had,eccept one(Living inside your love)That's fair enough. Beautiful,don't hesitate to buy it if you want a complete album! Miranda

This album should just not work..... but it does. I had the same feeling when the Scissor Sisters covered one of my all time favourites... Comfortably Numb, I wanted to hate it, but the version was so good I couldn't. The one track I dont like is Pretty Green, but apart from that I loved the originals of these tracks and in some cases I like the covers even more. The highlight (not the obvious Amy Winehouse track) is Stop me, how you can merge the Smiths into 90's dance music, I dont know?..... Mark Ronson does!

I cannot rate this highly enough. It is an extraordinary art form that everyone should see. It celebrates the unity of mankind, showing that it is possible to bring together all the diverse aspects of ourselves and enable us to find our true strength and nature. The music is brilliant - the best of the best. Each track explores an aspect of humanity. It shows it as it is in all it's wonder. It doesnt try to turn it into anything it isnt. Pure magic!

What an opener - listen to 'Get Innocuous' as loud as you can! And the album keeps the standard up throughout - 'Us v them' being another pinnacle. A classic.
