I buy dance compilations primarily to listen to good mixing between (good) tracks. The track selection on this package isn't awful, OK there are some tracks that perhaps shouldn't be there, but what annoys me slightly is the total lack of any careful mixing between tracks. Some transitions are as smooth as silk, whereas others are a simple fade down and fade up which all takes place in about 3 seconds, or just a crash edit, which I find defeats the point of buying an album such as this. When will MOS return to letting actual named DJ's mix their output?

Barry White didn't mean a great deal to me until I worked night shift in a local factory, when he was played quite a lot as the local station's 'sexy, night-time music.' Well, it may have been those things and more if you were at home on the sofa or in bed, but on night shift? But having your sleeping habits turned topsey-turvey certainly gave his music a more receptive edge and the emotions became much sharper, and the 'You See The Trouble With Me' track, which has a quirky and unusual kind of guitar backing really started to appeal. Hes done it again, mike skinner is a pure and utter legend. This album may not appeal to you on the first listen but soon enough you wont be able to press stop. mike skinner is a lyrical genius without a doubt and this album throws the life of the average lad in your face through addidctive rhymes and catchy beats. i got the album the 1st day it came out years ago and its never been taked out of the stereo. after his debut album (original pirate material) this is another addition to a true british street hero. *****

This is one one of those albums you can just listen to and love straight away without having to get used to the songs and give them time to grow on you. Fun, uplifting, energetic and dancey. Yes, it's bit camp, look at the cover people, but it's a great album and I can't turn it off!

Well I didn't buy this album as soon as it come out but I have been missing out! I really liked the singles About You Now and Change but I think there were definitely better tracks to release than Denial, which is still pretty good but pales in comparison to some of the other songs on the album. My favourites are the beautiful ballad Mended, which I think would have made number 1 if released. Surprise is also a really good catchy song that I listen to a lot. To be honest, I do not think there is a single album filler on this album - APART from the annoying Back Down, which I just cannot stand and always skip fast! Okay, I'm usually more of a fan of DnB myself, but this genre got recommended to me by my boss. By the odd track I heard off the net under the genre of 'dubstep' I wasn't expecting much from this newfound music style. However, after seeing a dubstep artist mix a "Watch the Ride" album, I was intrigued. Impressed with other albums of the series (TC, High Contrast), I decided to give it a go. I was highly impressed. Deep basslines and heavy drums make a very dark, grimey feel to this album and I am now convinced that there is hope out there for dubstep! Recommended.

Anyone giving this album 1 star and saying "they are not exactly Paul Van Dyk or Tiesto" is an idiot. Do you not realise that Scooter are just taking the p!ss? All the tracks are proper Euro trash with hilarious lyrics "it's not a bird, it's not a train, it must be Dave who's on the train" - this is clearly meant to be tongue in cheek. The album is great fun and makes you laugh out loud not to mention tap your feet. The new stuff is fantastic and fits perfectly with "jumpstyle". Check out Patrick Jumpen on You Tube to see some Jumpstyling to Scooter, v catchy! I saw Scooter live in Berlin years ago and, believe me, they are just having a laugh. Don't get offended, just get jumpin'!!

I bought this because I have always been a fan of dance music and Cream. I usually know a lot of the tunes but can't always remember what they are called so was not put off by not recognising a lot of the song titles on the CD. The TV advert relating to this product played a montage of songs that I know so I thought "great" - but, regrettably, this is no different from any other compilation CD in that there is a handful of popular memorable tunes (as heard on the advert) then a load of album-like dross. Doesn't represent 10 years of Cream very well - I would expect to know all the tunes -or at least most of them because there have been some BIG banging tunes in the last 10 years - If you have money to burn then go for it but personally I am annoyed that I ...
