I am an incredible fan of the beach compilation, and again have HK delivered. A great sound for the summer but there are a few re-occuring songs but hey it's still sounds great.

If anyone want's to have a nice evening with the one he lover's just put this cd on. IT's A GREAT CD. Don't forget to put it on repeat. This is a MUST for all music lovers.

OK I love Simian Mobile Disco, but I am reviewing them on this album and this album alone. Give this album a full blow 4 would have been over generous this would me that they where only one step off perfection and this album is far from perfect but in no way bad. I absolutely love the opener, Sleep Deprevation is the perfect atmopheric opener to the rest of the album and is in exactly the right place. But I'm glad that they didn't fall into the trap of just recreating this track over and over for the rest of the album. Hustler is a fantastic single and another highlight for me. But there are one or two week moment which just let the album down seeming as if they just needed to fill up time on the CD with underdeveloped ideas. But maybe next time they'll ... Read More:

I remember listening to this with friends at school in 1983 when the original cassette version. The best of its time - true 80s pop. I love this - and all those obscure remixes and instrumental versions - all for less than a fiver! Great!

the third album failed to capatolise on the success of "into the gap"..but then it is one of the best albums of the 80's the first actual release "lay your hands on me" is here..and athough not regraded as a tt classic i would beg to differ! the album was preluded by another single "don't mess with doctor dream" which stop a step back to the quick step album....a clever song with its anti drugs message..but by now a lot of us wanted more angst love songs delivered to an electro beat along the way you get some songs worth of "into the gap" like "future days" "you killed the clown" and "emporer's new clothes" but a the other album tracks dont match the quality! two more singles were released "king for a day" which is ... More of the same from John Legend. Some stand out tracks such as p.d.a have to balance out some rather typical "samey" R&B standards. Not bad.

Sia has a wonderful mesmeric quality to her voice. I, like most people, bought this CD off the back of her vocal performances for Zero 7. Although Colour the Small One is a decent enough collection of music, I have to say that I was disappointed with the vocal performance on this CD. It goes to show you that even the best performers need good music and top quality production a la Zero 7. If you are a fan of Sia's vocal talents from Zero 7, get Lady Croissiant instead. Her live performances are more confident and powerful. I hope she can bring this confidence into her next studio album.
