I brought this album for one purpose and one purpose only 'Let's Stay Together' I didn't know who sang it because I was an 80's baby raised in the 90's it was before my time, but eventually found out that Al did. After owning this album 2 months now I have been gripped by Al's presents on the mic, I now have 15 favorite songs on the album, they don't call it greatest hits for nothing!! I feel so strongly about this album because when ever I hear it, it just makes me feel good, I literally have a smile on my face throughout the album!! I have an ultimate favorite, but it was hard to pick with great songs like 'Simply Beautiful' 'Sha La La' 'Tired of Being Alone' and 'How Can You Mend a Broken Heart' getting in the way, ... This has to be the worst album i have ever heard . The only good track is black and gold. Save your money and just buy the single because the rest is rubbish

Unpromoted which is a shame, Thanks to Amazon This Compilation is easy to obtain. As an OMD fan from thier early days this a must for all collectors. I bought this for the DVD alone but I am sure the Cd will get some use. Excellent purchase for any music fan as this Band have infuenced so many over the years. Great to see them on thier reunion Tour. And may they continue to please thier fans for years to come, Timeless.

Grace Jones relativley short music career never really hit the heights of success it often deserved. Her first three disco albums, PORTFOLIO (1977), FAME (1978) and MUSE (1979) were fairly forgetable although they did spawn at least one memroable track per album - all of which make there way onto this definitive compilation of Grace Jones work. LA VIE EN ROSE, I NEED A MAN and DO OR DIE had that early Grace Jones disco sound which was quickly abandoned in 1980 prior to the release of one of her very best albums, WARM LEATHERETTE, which succesfully combined the sounds of New Wave, reggae, rock and funk. From the album was PRIVATE LIFE (a top 20 success in the U.K) which also is rightly included on this album as this by far is one of her greatest recordings. ... Read More:

Well i finally bought this album yesterday - the deluxe limited edition digipack version at a 2 for 10 pound offer in HMV (first alarm bell). i thought, ok, i'll give it a go, considering i am kinda a mariah carey fan, and there was a bit of hype at the time. put it on and did like 'migrate' but it all goes downhill from there. Not as good as Madonna's Hard Candy by 1000000 miles, and has sold less (second alarm bell). The only thing i liked was the album artwork and colour scheme. I think mariah is out of ideas now and this album proves it. This is the lowest selling album of her career to date.....oh dear...... Very, Very overrated! 1/10

Just got the album today, me and my son think its great we will be dancing along in the car, excellent cd, one of the best clubland albums Ive heard and got, highly recommended.

Another top notch offering of African-Latin-Indo-middle eastern influenced downtempo grooves. Although it doesnt veer far from the TC template there is more of an Afro vibe while the lyrics are more political than before. If you're already a fan get this pronto. If you dont like their previous releases you sure wont like this either. And now for the big BUT....the quality of the packaging. Sorry to say this but it is the worst packaged CD in music history, alright.. since the mid 80s. Its a pretty shoddy cardboard sleeve which is a bit larger than your standard plastic jewel case. The CD itself is loose and inside a folded poster with a picture on one side and credits and all sorts of bumf on the other. What's going on fer Gawd's sake? I dont think I am being petty ... This is a brilliant album, and long, long overdue. It showcases the work of the much-missed BBC Radiophonic Workshop between 1958 and 1997, including music from "The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy", Radio 4's "PM" news programme, "The Demon Headmaster", the BBC's Natural World programmes and many others. I was particularly pleased to see the inclusion of Peter Howell's "The Astronauts". Most of the album is essentially a CD re-issue of two BBC Radiophonic Workshop LPs: "21" and "Soundhouse", released in 1979 and 1983, but also contains some gems that have never before been released.
