This album is groundbreaking on many levels. This is mainly down to the first "track", the heavenly music corporation, which is almost palimpsest-like, in that the reverse and slow speed incarnations are both here (there are explainations given as to why..chortle away at the history), and its the same piece of music...yet it sounds different enough to warrant inclusion. Being a composer/producer, I noticed a sizeable difference in the audio quality of this master compared to the previous incarnation of the album. Everything is crisper, and more punchier, WITHOUT losing the ambient remit which this album perhaps inadvertantly ended up setting (eno's truer ambient works started later). This was the album that put Enya on the map musically and it's easy to see why.Haunting vocals,mystical music and an artist of rare talent. With many fantastic songs including 'Orinoco Flow','Storms In Africa' and 'Evening Falls',this is an album you can switch on,chill out to and just lose yourself.It has stood the test of time too and sounds as refreshing today as when it was originally released. 'Watermark' is a fine album,indeed it is a classic of it's type.Enya may not be to everyone's taste but she is a refreshing alternative to so much of the manufactured pop around today and deserves the worldwide success she has achieved.

Yes yes, Ministry of Sound put out plenty of albums, particularly classic ones, and seem to get plenty of flack in the reviews (!), but honestly this is brilliant. I was given Anthems I for Christmas last year, and that was pretty good, but this follow up is even better. Mostly because it digs out some of the brilliant but not often seen tracks like DReam, S Express, New Order, Orbital and Billie Ray Martin. Discs 2 and 3 seem to be chronological as well, but it really is big tune after big tune, great if you buy only one dance album. Faithless, Livin Joy, Modjo (what a track!), Olive, Stardust, the list goes on. I'm lovin it! Couldn't recommend it more...i'll be getting it for people for Christmas...

Arrival is in many people's opinion Abba's finest moment. Certainly an album containing 'Knowing Me-Knowing You', 'Money Money Money' and 'Dancing Queen' has to be a contender for Abba's greatest album. Apart from these classic three singles, there are several other noteworthy tracks on this classic album. Had this album been released in the 80s there would have probably been even more classic hits lifted from this collection. A strong contender for fourth single would have been 'My Love My Life' beautifully sung by Agnetha. This album also contains one of Agnetha's favourite tracks 'That's Me'. Closing the album is the title track 'Arrival' which was later covered by Mike Oldfield and became a hit for him. An album truly deserving of the title ... Read More:

This great two disc album from the Pet Shop Boys contains thirty five of the duos greatest songs. All of the Pet Shop Boys biggest hits, such as `Go West' and `West End Girls' are included as well as some that I hadn't heard before buying this album but they are all very enjoyable. My favourite song from the album though is the relatively resent `Flamboyant' and in all honesty it was this song that encouraged me to get the album in the first place. The one slight criticism of this album is that all of the truly great songs from the Pet Shop Boys could have easily fitted onto one CD rather but this is only a slight annoyance and even the songs presented here that are less that stunning are still a cut above much of the music released today. If I could have just one album in my collection, this would be it. It was my generation's Revolver. It's incisive, celebratory and everything that a good album should be. Listening to it made me believe that anything in life was possible and a whole world of opportunities were there for the taking. I wasn't alone in playing it on my battered stereo every day for a good two years. For me it's always been more than a record. It's a life affirming piece of art that will never be bettered.

Absolutely amazing album. I originally bought it on download, but I've now bought the proper CD as compressed MP3 really doesn't do justice to all the layers and vibes going on. Easily Beck's best album since the glorious Odelay. Definately his most accessible. Yes it is only half an hour long, but when you listen to it you don't feel short changed, it's half an hour beauty. Innovative, wise and most of all you can dance to it. Love it.

What an amazing album it really builds you up from start to finish luv it. Really impressed with the A State Of Trance Series. Armin Van Buuren is the number 1 Trance DJ in my book. Well done with ASOT 08 keep it up.
