This is a rude CD and if you're old enough and were into the early junglist scene then this will take you back. I have several of these tracks on vinyl 12" languishing in my garage (shame on me) but as I no longer have turntables I haven't herard them for years. Well worth the investment especially for Ragga Tip, Love Talk and Holligan 69 being my all time faves.

Although the first two tracks are the highlight of this album, they aren't the only good things here. Lyrics are poingnant and moving. Hey World is a great track. And while i'm not sure it's as good as hist last studio album... it's still better than most other albums out at the moment. if you like Franti - it's a must! Be strong for me, i'lAll Rebel Rockers: +DVDl be strong for you.

All of Snatam kaur works are uplifting to the soul, the greatest gift anyone has is to uplift the human spirit and by just hearing Snatam Kaur's voice this is so easily felt. I recommend all of her works, which include Prem, Shanti, Heaven and beyond. Singh Kaur is also another artist with similar sounds. You can find out more on www.spiritvoyage.com

I tried very hard to like this album, but I don't. While the musicianship is good, if uninspired, the vocal performances are, by and large, awful. Harrison, Dylan, Russell and Preston never had the greatest of vocal talents anyway, and it isn't until the last tracks ('Something' and 'Bangla Desh') that Harrison finds anything of a voice at all. Starr's contribution is just toe-curlingly awful. And why the bonus track, Dylan's 'Love Minus Zero/No Limit', was left off the original album, only Krishna knows. On this evidence it was easily his strongest performance. An album for fans and completists only I'm afraid.

If you are a fan of all things asian, esspecially fusion and electronica, then this cd was made for you. Karsh Kale is a star and trancends the boundaries of style and aproach on this CD. Anoushka is a fabulous sitarist (learning from her famous father Mr. Ravi Shankar) and sows her skills throughout this album. The compositions are on another level as they flow seemlessly from Indian classical to rock and electronica. Sting is amazing as well. There are so man great guests on this album including Salim Merchant, the Midival Punditz and Anoushkas sister Norah Jones, even Ravi makes an appearancel. Both Shankar and Kale shine bright throughout this journey as they take us into the next paradigm of music.

For all of you who like me used to have a lot of these on 12" 45 at one time or another an absolute essential purchase. Greensleeves are now dedicating a lot of time to classic Reggae and this is a great edition to this series. A good mix of known and previously unreleashed versions and every one a classic in its own right. Although this set contains not necessarily some artists best Greensleeves 12" it is worth it to hear Gunman, Diseases, Give Another Israel A Try to name a few, all produced to that Junjo high standard with top class Roots Radics Riddims.

These are Levy's major-label recordings, featuring inferior remakes of some of his best-known tunes. You'll need to look elsewhere for the originals.

This CD has a mixture of slow, medium and fast beats. Theres only three hot dance tunes, the best of which is the last track by Charlie Black "Buddy Buddy". Another hot dance tune is Busy Signal "wine pon di edge". It is worth buying the CD for those two tunes alone. This is a CD that has several repeated rhythmns - not all of them great. Not as good value for money as the 2 disc Reggae Gold, but still worth considering. Black Ryno gives us "Ay Ya Ay Ya" which is a bit different and memorable. It is hard to ignore Charlie Black though! Maybe you should buy it just to get his fast bashment beat.
