Its highly rated but im not really feeling this album. Rza is a talented rapper and does a great job over the occaisional verse with the clan but I thought a whole album of him would be too much. Here rza surpasses all expectations. However this really is meant to be a producer's album and for me this is where 'bobby' fails to deliver. There are signs of the classic 'wu sound' (skeletal/sampled strings). But in my opinion although different the production is miles from that of 'cuban linx' or 'liquid swords'. I really hate the stupid 'slow grind' skits.

This is a hip-hop classic. Mos Def provides genius lyrics to an equal, if not greater, standard than his solo album (Black on both sides)whilst Talib Kwali contributes rhyming classics with quality delivery. 1, 2, 3, Mos Def and Talib Kwali...!!! Any hip-hop fan without this album or without the intention to buy should just give up and start listening Country. If you don't like this album the first time round then listen to it again...and again. For real.

133.Wu-Tang Forever by: Wu-Tang Clan

Music : Wu-Tang Forever
The Wu-Tang Clan's long-awaited second album, Wu-Tang Forever, arrived to great anticipation, and the double-disc set does not disappoint. Where contemporaries like 2Pac and the Notorious B.I.G. issued double-discs cluttered with filler, Wu-Tang Forever is purposeful and surprisingly lean, illustrating the immense depth of producer RZA and the entire nine-piece crew. Each rapper has a different lyrical style, from Ol' Dirty Bastard's bizarre rants to Raekwon's story sketches, and RZA subtly shifts his trademark style for each song, creating an album of cinematic proportions. There are no great musical innovations on the album, since the Wu-Tang's signature blend of skeletal beats, scratchy samples, eerie pianos, and spectral strings remains intact. Yet the ... I thought this CD was really good. It has a variety of different songs, some songs have been origanally writen by artists like Dido. Traditional songs have been funked up to make them much more listenable!
Many are live recordings. There is only one song on this album that isn't my kind of music, but Jon Bon Jovi and Bobby Shriver being the creaters of the CD have done well. Soul, rock and funk all combined into one CD what more could you ask for! It's a wikid album and its for a great cause!

Buy it and enjoy!

RZA,Method man & co. display the styles that have made this group legends in the industry.

Although, each member is lethal in their own solo work/collabarations, surely most would agree that when they come together, the sparks really fly.

Most of the famous tracks are on hear to keep the fans (myself included) happy. Jungle/ Drum & Bass listeners will also recognise many of the old skool samples.

You need this in your collection.

RIP ODB.

A great album to sip sangria to. Not a 'jazzy' as the latest Vol.9 but offers a warm blend of subtle head-calmindg tunes and 'beaty' vibes.
Recommended for the rainy nights in and sunny beach-days out.

I love Run DMC they invented rap/rock and the first and best example was Rock Box which kicks *ss. This has also got It's Like That on it, but the original isn't as good as the Jason Nevins remix.

This has got to be one of the most played cd's in my collection.
If you like either mos or talib then you NEED this cd, because quite simply you will wonder how you ever lived without it.
I think it's quite difficult to get hold of at the moment but well worth the effort, funky, raw and cutting edge even now this is a seminal album by two unsung masters of true hip-hop.
I'm not gonna bang on or give a track by track synopsis of this album, i could never do it justice, you just need to listen.
