When I first bought this I wasn't so keen on it but you HAVE TO LISTEN TO IT MORE THAN ONCE!! Don't track flick, listen to them all... Wyclef really shows his talent in tracks like RUNAWAY, HOLLYWOOD TO HOLLYWOOD (AMAZING!), DIALLO and 911! His guest singers e.g. The Rock, Earth Wind and Fire really add to the album making it a MUST BUY!! Seriously, I didn't like it at first but now I'm playing it all the time and I haven't got sick of any track, if you are into Wyclef then buy it and chill :D

After all the years of waiting this was a real let down. Any real fans of Meth and the Wutang sound will want to give this one a miss.

Several years on and this fantastic piece of audio-ware is still in my multi-changer in my car. It truly is the most amazing album I have ever heard, ever since I've owned it i've been tapping the wheel to 'My writes', nodding my head to 'Oooh' and 'I C Y'all' and belting my lungs out to 'All Good'. When I put this CD on I skip track 1, the intro, and then play the whole of the rest of the CD right through. The depth and range of the tracks due to all the cameos on it really make it very listenable, as no two tracks are the same. It truly is my most favorite piece of hip-hop history, right next to Cypress Hill's 'Black Sunday' and Wu-Tang's 'Forever'. Before any word on the music, much respect to LL, who took on board the challenge from someone or other and agreed not to use any profanity on this record. The CD certainly doesn't miss or need this as it is a very laid back, summery, happy effort. 'Luv U Better' is probably my all time favourite Neptunes production and tracks by Pharrel and co are sprinkled all over this album. It is in some ways sad to see someone who was once such a pioneering force in this genre following such a trend. On the other hand, 'Luv U Better' is a brilliant track that sounds nothing like the other Neptunes tracks that were all over the radio at this time. 'Paradise' (prod. This album blew me away. I started getting into rap with Em and 50. These guys dissed Ja loads and I just took there word for it despite the fact that I hadn't really listen to any of his stuff. I always wanted to hear clap back and after hearing New York and liking it I bought this as it had both tracks. I wasn't expecting much and in the end I loved it. Here's a list of the tracks and score. Exodus (intro): I thought it would be a skit but it's a full blown track. It is Ja telling everyone he's finishing and is such a great track with a sweet beat. 9.5/10 Me: A sweet party track with a bouncy beat would have been a great single. 9/10 Holla, Holla. The album is OK the best song is with Jay-z (a true rapper). My advice is don't spend the £6.97 on Amazon. Get it cheaper on Ebay.

A very good collection of remastered cuts that were widely bootlegged. Nas has managed to release this album as the tunes were meant to be heard. When i say very good i do mean that - this album is most definitely close behind Illmatic and Stillmatic as Nas's best work - a venerable achievement for such a prolific artist. The record has a definite "album" feel to it in that the tunes seem to belong together. Catching Nas at his most philisophical, poetic and introspective do not expect to find vehement dis tracks here. It is a collection of street wise true hip hop of the highest order. And here's why. Most rap albums you buy these days sounds like compilations, a series of individual songs thrown together, with nothing linking them together, just a bunch of single songs compiled to make one album. As any devoted music fan will know, the best CDs are the ones that work really well as albums, and Whut? Thee Album is the one Hip-Hop album that really does just that. Technically, in terms of song quality and whatever, it's not my favourite hip-hop album, but the way it's put together is great. It's like a concept - the opening skit where Redman is being interrogated and asked to release some of his built-up anger by showing the therapist what a rap album would sound like if he made it, before Time 4 Sum Aksion explodes in and Redman lets rip.
