If you liked kool keith first album and his dope old skool Ultramagnetic Mc stuff you will like his new dark ego Dr.Dooom with that Gothic like gimmike and Hardcore Rap style the song that stand's out on the album is the song Neighbors Nextdoor with it's strange funny bizzare creepy Efunk beat and dark bass loops and cuts and the dope wax geto boy style of call the cops.

OK, yes, a few of these songs have been readily available on other releases. But that aside, I would go as far as to say that Preemptive Strike contains some of Shadow's greatest moments. As epic as Entroducing is, this collection pushes the envelope even further. What Does Your Soul Look Like part 2 is nothing short of vast in scale with its dramatic strings, crashing drums and mournful vocals. In contrast, part 3 is delicate and minimal, a meandering flute and tinkling piano taking centre stage. Every defining characteristic of Entroducing (delicate ambience, long patient pauses, impeccable drum breaks, slow, smoothly paced song dynamics) is taken that bit further in these songs. Laterally, 'Supermodified' is a mood piece, sound-scapes etc, but as a concept, I'm afraid it's off the rails. It doesn't draw the line, it's in over it's head - I get a disturbing feeling that it's something to be scared of. The road Amon Tobin is walking, isn't gonna lead anywhere good.
