62.Deltron 3030 Instrumentals by: Deltron 3030

Music : Deltron 3030 Instrumentals
Deltron 3030 was a project that made those who had lost faith in HipHop believe again, but there was one problem- do you buy the instrumentals or the original? Of course, this sounds brilliant because it's Automator & Kid Koala, but without Del on the mike it sounds a bit empty. With the original, you get to hear all of Automator's brilliant producing, all of Kid Koala's turntable terror with the addition of Del Tha Funky Homosapian rapping on top.

Don't get this unless you're more on the side of Instrumental Hip-Hop "a la" Coldcut etc. Buy the original.

63.Permutation by: Amon Tobin

Music : Permutation
How often do you find an album in which there are no 'filler' tracks? Answer: very rarely. This is one of those albums.
As someone else said in another review, ignore all of the myths you've heard about drum 'n bass being mindless and for junkies. Amon Tobin is much cleverer than that, and as a result, the album contains a mix of everything. Drum 'n bass with menacing 'melody' lines, jazz which could have come straight out of a 30's jazz club had it not had a heavy, but catchy beat laid down on top of it, and even a bit of bossa nova and other brazilian music styles, hailing back to Tobin's birthplace.
Its getting on for 9 years since this was released, but i'd still listen to it rather than the trash that gets put in the charts ... Read More:

Music : Instrumentalyst
I must say that Dr. Octagon is the Mix Master that time forgot. This guy should get big ups for all of music which has an awesome and original sound to it. The best song is definitely Blue Flowers. The good Doctor also scratches up a storm, and personally, makes me wanna go and buy turn tables whenever i hear the cd. You must buy this CD. I wanna give props to Jackson for introducin me to the Doctor. Talkin ghetto style is just one of the fun things about life. Shout out to James, Super, Chuck, Dan, Eric, Jackson and all my other G's. But most of all, buy this CD!!!!!!!! (ALBIE)

I just bought this and have been listening for a couple of days.

Let me start off by saying that I like Doseone. I think he's an interesting character, and the Deep Puddle Dynamics album is one of my all time favourites. I've also heard some awesome stuff by Boom Bip, although I am a little less familiar with his work. Let me also start off by saying that I am in no way AGAINST expanding the boundaries of hip-hop as it is currently known, and I can name many artists who are doing just that, but this album is neither as groundbreaking or as interesting as I was led to believe. I am a little dissapointed.

You know how "Frances the Mute" by the Mars Volta tends to have a lot of ambience and musical doodling in between songs? So ... Read More:

67.Enters the Colossus by: Mr. Lif

Music : Enters the Colossus
this is a pretty tough collection of sounds. the beats are extremely dark and industrial. Lif's flows are quality throughout. if you like this kind of dark industrial taxing hip hop then you will love this. if not, you are gonna hate it. oh, and the cover is so so so good. one of my all time faves!

68.Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By [Instrumental Version] by: Lovage

Music : Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By [Instrumental Version]
This is a most fantastic album, Mike patton's vocals are at his most strongest, the musical arrangements are without fault.
The 'feel' of the album hearkens back to the 50's, where men wine and dine beautiful ladies, and the ladies (and the men) would never, ever disclose what they do after the lights go out.

Buy this album, and your girlfriend will love you forever

My god, this is what the world needs. A sort of haphazard antidote to all that saccharin – a natural, earthy, gentle compendium of odd noises and broken beats. Turn away from those horrid oily commercial chillout albums and get anything by REQ. The emphasis here is on simplicity, calm, the sort of thing that helps you think. Twisted drum and bass laid over with raising-hair-on-back-of-neck weird sounds – this is refreshing.
