After hearing albums like the Infamous and Hell On Earth, I was excited about hearing Infamy, without the thought that M-O-B-B would ever cross over. I was wrong. The beats carry the content of the songs, the rhymes are standard and much like the crap that is being released under the label of hip-hop nowadays. The hooks are what each song is sold on, the pop sounding choruses or meaningless "war" lyrics that just come across as annoying. There are a few bearable tracks but no where near enough for this album to redeem itself. I was deeply disappointed with this album, Murda Muzik was not up to par with infamous and Hell On Earth, but Infamy really was the end for Mobb Deep. (Amerikaz Nightmare confirms that statement)

Yep, he's done it again. Another fantastic album from Ja that shows he still a big player when it comes to rap pop and 'gangster rap'. Though his vocals may be a bit harsh for some peoples taste, 'Put It On Me' and 'Between me and you' should secure the promise of many album sales!

I'm not sure what the hype is about... although this album has some good tracks (Down and One Day I smile being among my favourites), it is often over produced and at points sounds ridiculously cheesy. as for Juelz himself, he has no personality, his rhymes are basic and flawed, there is no intellectual depth, he rhymes the same words and sentences over and over again, and he doesn't even have a particularily distinctive voice to set him apart from the rest. The guest spots arn't too hot, and it's just hard to take it seriously as an album... Although he's done more and developed nowdays with back liked cooked crack, this album just doesn't cut it... theres no skill or talent, nothing that stands out, he could've just ... Read More:

but then that isn't really saying a lot is it? 50 run out of things to say after 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' so now we have to hear about how he blows his undeserved wealth. Those lamenting the death of hip-hop should dig a little deeper, it's still alive and kicking, just dont expect it from the g-unit camp.

what can i say? if its gangsta rap you are after then well you got it! for me the only rap/h-h that exists is westside, and here it is, the best most true to style themes of rap and the best beats to convey them. Addictive supple beats and the great lyrical projection delivered by these guys with the ideal voices for the job. I have never been attracted to mega fast rhyming and here you wont find it, look at the roots of rap: essentials are theme/ concempts and a meaty beat to bass them upon. As far as rap goes for me, THIS IS IT definitively and this is rap for all you may want from it, they got attitude and it sure as hell sounds damn good...

what can i say.
this is a FANTASTIC album lyrically....As ALWAYS.
Cham does this cd with ease.
but what makes this album SOOO Diff from the others.
Is he kept it CLEAN....Cham himself throws NO profanity into it.
He does not NEED to.
His lyrical skillz along with the U.K's own SWAY means
he does not NEED to swear to make a GOOD album.
this takes it back to the likes of FRESH PRINCE, MASTA ACE, TALIB KWELI.
all good lyrical rappers who don't NEED to swear to make an album POWERFUL.

Great work cham.
didn't give this a 5 cuz NO album is THAT perfect.
