Oh my goodnes!!!

I saw the track listings and saw one song that made me get the CD: Hey DJ. I had wanted to get that song since 1984. I then looked at the other tracks and knew that this was the one CD I would be proud to have in the collection.

This CD really takes me back to my childhood days, when just about everything that was on the radio was hot. That includes the Pop and Soft Rock that was coming over from the UK and everywhere else in the world. Breakdancing was "in" and boy, was it fun to watch. In fact, there was a guy in my elemetary school class by the name of Maurice Hatter. Man, this guy could "break"! He did the Pop-Lock, Moonwalk, Helecopter, and Robot all the time!! He was so good that he was easily ... Read More:

As a huge fan of the film, excuse me if my review comes across as any way biased.

The soundtrack in my opinion is brilliant, but I had to ask myself does it suit as a stand alone CD, without the view of the movie. I would have to say no. There is no doubt that if you have seen the movie and remember the images the soundtrack will fit brilliantly and sound great, because in the film the music compliments it beautifully and there is no doubt Thomas Newman's ability to write music for film, but that is exactly it for a film, whereas American beauty was melodic, and smooth all the way through, the jarhead soundtrack has a very wide range of music, which you may love as I do, or you may hate. If you’re a fan of the movie and looking ... Read More:

The D.O.C. was born and brought up in Texas and was one of the first artists to be signed by Dr. Dre. He, along with Ice Cube and MC Ren wrote the majority of material for the early N.W.A. albums, and after a car accident which severed his vocal cords, was kept as Dre's "secret weapon" on many of the albums he was involved in, including "The Chronic" and Snoop Doggy Dogg's "Doggystyle."

"No One Can Do It Better" is The D.O.C.'s first and only solo album completed with his original smooth, flowing voice. Except the two "Comm." tracks (the first demonstrating Michel'le's incredible vocal abilities), there are no filler tracks, each song is very well produced, flows incredibly and is designed to show off The D.O.C.'s amazing talent. From "Beautiful ... Read More:

This review is basically to serve as a reminder/notice to those that havent yet heard this album. This album is one of a kind, to think of the time that it came out, Jeru was trully ahead of his time. everytime i listened to this, i cannot get over his witty lirics and intelligent subject matter. He is very street wise/well learned etc one way or another as you can tell from his lyrical content, he has some serious punchlines that will keep you nodding with excitement. And as far as the beats are concerned, one word, primo. Says it all, this is a deadly combination as jeru and primo complement one another. This album has some classic tracks on it and to mention just one 'playin your self', go on youtube and listen to it. If you love hip hop in its rawest form ... Read More:

This album blew me away. I started getting into rap with Em and 50. These guys dissed Ja loads and I just took there word for it despite the fact that I hadn't really listen to any of his stuff. I always wanted to hear clap back and after hearing New York and liking it I bought this as it had both tracks. I wasn't expecting much and in the end I loved it. Here's a list of the tracks and score.

Exodus (intro): I thought it would be a skit but it's a full blown track. It is Ja telling everyone he's finishing and is such a great track with a sweet beat. 9.5/10

Me: A sweet party track with a bouncy beat would have been a great single. 9/10

Holla, Holla. Really hate it. The beat is one of the worst ever; I could have made a better one ... Read More:

It's hard not to admire Ludacris - that cat's got genuine mojo. Who else but a guy with a sense of humor to match his monumental afro would sing "Scheme scheme, plot plot, I'm coming for that number one spot" while giving shout outs to Mini-Me and Fat B?

The former Atlanta DJ, born Chris Bridges, recorded his first album in 2000, which was repackaged by Def Jam, and then followed up by "Word of Mouf" in 2001 and "Chicken-N-Beer" in 2003. This fourth album does not disappoint, thanks to the catchy "Number One Spot", "Get back", "The Potion" and "Pimpin' All Over the World".

Other stand-out tracks are the quirky "Blueberry Yum Yum" which will repeat on you; the R&B based "Child of the Night" with Nate Dogg and "Spur of the Moment" with DJ Quik; and the ... Read More:
