I heard this album back in the early 90ies when it was released, and was hooked. recently introduced it to many of my teenaged nephews and they admit it is a superb piece of music. every single track is strong and oozes style, lyrical poetry and rhythm. Simply put it is one of the all time Great Hip-Hop albums, which is and will be heard in years to come. Buy It!

Eminem may well be one of the greatest rappers ever. Despite the less than stellar Encore album being his last proper album to date, his reputation is already cemented based on its three predecessors and he will forever be remembered for that. Then why does he choose to surround himself with such mediocre peers? Em's crew, which takes in the ultra-offensive D12, 50 Cent's mostly awful G-Unit and the likes of newcomers like Bobby Creekwater, all pile into this mixtape-a-like album that doesn't really gain Eminem much ground following Encore. This isn't an Eminem album, this is an album that is executive produced by Eminem, and quite frankly, production is not Marshall Mathers' strong suit. D12's first joint , Devils Night , was possibly the best Eminem album ever released ( and possibly the eminem show) . The 5 other Detriot crew members really hold their own and make the cd a very enjoyable experiance . With their dark lyrics and catchy beats , Devils Night is a stroke of genius . Unfortuneately D12 world just does not compare .As soon as i heard the first single 'my band' i decided to buy the cd .This was much like purple pills from devils night and so i had high expectations , unfortuneately they fell short . D12 have TOTALLY altered their style and songs like B**** , leave dat boy alone , u r the one and i'll be damned ruin the album totally , i couldn't believe what i was listening to ! i am going to write a rave review, so bear with me i think this album is an unbelievable bedut, it is FANTASTIC! haha...obie trice is amazing in that his style is unique against most other rappers. and the contribution by some of the worlds best rap artists (e.g. 50 cent, Dr. Dre and Eminem) make this album amazing

I bought this album the day it came out back in NOV 2002 but I have recently been playing it alot at gym, in car etc... I forgot what a good album it is... I'm a big fan of Jay Z and although this album is not a classic, it helped his career and helped him experiment material which made The Black Album such a success. THE GIFT 'A dream' featuring Faith Evans and Notorious B.I.G, opens the album and makes for good easy listening. The Gift continues with 'The Watcher 2', a follow up to the original on Dre's 2001. It isnt original but Jay's lyrics are excellent and it makes for a nice collaboration. 'Bonnie and Clyde' is a powerplay for Jay, Bringing him alot of airplay and Crossing over to Beyonce fans to move ... Read More:

compared to i am and nastradamus, this is a step ahead- compared to illmatic and some moments of it was written, still wack.

Iv been a Game fan since day one,he was the resurrection of the West Coast he never lets us down,ie going pop!and once again he drops a very solid album,iv been bumping it since i got it,every track is dope part from one(Ya heard)is a little weak but still a good track,I love Games lyrics and the prodution is top notch(j.r rotem/jellyroll/cool&dre who are having a great year/nottz/dj toomp/kanye/hi-tek and scott storch who does an exellent job as always.the whole album is bangin plus on this deluxe edition you get 4 extra tracks,which are all Dope and yes you get the BIG one (Big dreams)which i think should have been on the original version.So pick it up you wont regret it. This is an amazing cd/dvd, combines the best parts of both artist's work amazingly blended. The only problem is the shortness of the music, because its obviously time consuming to mix these songs. But other than that a great selection of songs which work so well together. Most of the songs are timeless classics.
