This is a wonderful boxset, the packaging is excellent and really feels worth the money. It doesn't look as big on amazon, but it is actually record size, with the 4 CDs along side each other. The booklet inside is excellent also and contains lots of interesting facts about Woodstock. The CD's are perfect quality, so this really makes you feel like you were actually there!!

This is a truely stunning collection. There's stuff here I've never heard before - all perfectly mastered so the sound quality is superb. There's also a bit of inspired fun in having the CDs as replicated 7" vinyl singles (remember them?), all in mock original sleeves. Clash fans, punks and those into 70s/80s rock will know the stuff here. Reggae fans should buy this at the earliest opportunity, not only for the studio 1 inspired "Armagideon Time" (and the brilliant dub versions provided here) or the Mikey Dread produced "Bankrobber" but also for "Cool Confusion" - a US release - and the many other reggae inspired tunes. However, "London Calling" and "Rock the Casbah" are enough to recommend this to anyone with a pulse.

The singers on this album are amazing, not least because all the music is made by voice alone. The vocals are excellent and it's nice to listen to an album where the singers aren't advocating gun toting revenge on those who can't sing as well as or who have inadvertantly insulted their, Shorty. This is easy listening at its best, my favourite track has to be Feel it, what a rendition. You can catch the video for that track on Youtube. This album has great lyrics great harmonies and melodies, simply put, Perfect. Bring it on boys!

I know this collection can be a little pricy but if you love the work of John Lennon then look no further than this box set of studio outtakes, live performances and home demos from the Lengendary artist. The set comprises of 4 discs and a booklet. The discs are split into different times of his ten year solo career. The first is 1970 - 71. This disc is full of great studio outtakes from Plastic Ono Band and Imagine. Disc 2 is 1972 - 73 and features live performances, studio outtakes and home demos from Sometime In New York City and Mind Games. Number 3 is 1974 - 75 and that's Walls And Bridges and The Rock And Roll album. There is an early take of Steel And Glass on here that i think is far better than the finished product, great stuff! In such circumstances another review may not be of that much help to an undecided prospective purchaser because you can't know in advance whose taste you share, but for what it's worth: The treasure of this set for me is the B Minor Mass. It has been described as the greatest work of art in any medium ever and while that may be a rather overblown claim it isn't wholly indefensible. Gardiner's interpretation does it proud.
