A fitting tribute to a phenomenal voice! A brilliantly comprehensive collection of his well known hits and some real gems with the inclusion of previously unrealeased tracks. This is a must have for all Roy fans both young and old. His voice is sublime. His music, together with The Beatles and Elvis Presley, Legendary and he is a huge and incremental part of our musical heritage. This box set helps to let that legend live on. A MUST HAVE FOR ANY GENUINE MUSIC FAN.

What a wonderful collection - truly a definitive archive of one of the century's greatest artists. Oistrakh's combination of power and serenity, with that individual unmistakeable sound make this a must-have for anyone who enjoys listening to the violin. Even more so if you play - to hear just what the instrument is capable of. In particular, the accounts of the Beethoven and Brahms concertos are the finest I have ever heard. Recordings can be cold - you have to play a bit safe - but these recordings have all the magic of a live performance. I had a number of these recordings on LP - if anything, the sound is better on these CDs and for the huge number of recordings - what a bargain.

I love the Pogues but there's a reason most of this stuff was never released. There's a few great tracks on here but I doubt I'll listen to most of it ever again. This is certainly for fans only.

Right, im a massive John Williams fan, and when I saw this box set, i had to add it to my collection. Kinda wished i hadnt now though. The Recordings on this cd are for the most part average at best, with one or two exceptions. Being a musician myself, im probably a lot more nit picky than most consumers would be though. The orchestra, and in particular the brass section, is very scrappy in many of the tracks. Its almost as if they are sight reading their parts, as there are very many mistakes in places, and the tuning is also diabolical a lot of the time (with some horendous vibrato from the trumpets in some of the indiana jones themes, it sounds more like a new orleans jazz band in places). I remember back in the days of LP, I had a huge Philips box containing this Dutchman, Tannhauser and the Knappertsbusch Parsifal from the 1960's. I concur with other reviewers that it is a pity Universal Classics has chosen the inferior Levine Parsifal for inclusion here, but the Tannhauser and Dutchman are the same performances conducted by Sawallisch. This time around, Universal adds Mastersinger, Lohengrin, Tristan and a complete Ring! Parsifal excepted, it is still a worthwhile set to have. Overall, all the other performances are fine. The Parsifal is simply bogged down by Levine's conducting. The Sawallisch Dutchman is immediate and gripping, vividly conducted. Silja sings so much better here than she did for Klemperer in the same opera on EMI. You can almost ... Read More:

I can't really say anything that the other reviewers haven't already written about "100 Million Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong", but believe me when I say that this is a magnificent boxset, a must have for all Bon Jovi fans. Here you have, 4 CDs of a rare and previously unreleased tracks and also a brilliant DVD of Bon Jovi talking about the tracks and additional archive candid footage of the band. As a huge Jovi fan, what more could one ask for? If you to are a Bon Jovi fan then you NEED this collection for sure! Just turn up the volume, sit back and relax!

Frankly, anyone who buys a CD of music from the City of Prague Philharmonic expecting it to comprise of originals is either short-sighted or panning the orchestra just for the sake of it. It's like criticising your local orchestra for not being the London Phil or the Skywalker Symphony - you can enjoy the music regardless. Are these tracks original? No. Are they very good representations? Absolutely. I've had countless hours of enjoyment from this CD and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to those listeners who want a good mix of TV themes from all genres or are looking for one of the more obscure TV themes.

It's easy - with the success of Mamma Mia! - to forget that before ABBA, the Swedish "Fab Four" were respected artistes in their own right. Perhaps none more so than Agnetha Faltskog, who was heading for a significant career as a singer-songwriter before she met Bjorn Ulvaeus. She wrote many of the songs on these discs and one can only wonder what she might have achieved had she lived in Britain or America. These five albums - despite being in Swedish - have given me such pleasure. Even in her native tongue (ie without her disarming English pronunciation) the voice is curiously plaintive, vulnerable and appealing. Five stars. The first one for that "Softly and Tenderly" originally performed with Jerry Lee Lewis. Elvis' inspired voice brings joys and faith to those who listen. The second star, for "I Just Can't Make It By Myself". Making the goal clear to everybody. The third star for "How Great Thou Art" is masterpiece with "Amazing Grace". The fourth star goes for the gift of this release that brings the following equation (Christmas = Gospel). If "Seeing is Believin'", earring Elvis' heart trough the music of is soul is finding the way to overcome sadness and tears. This is the most beautiful collection of music I have ever had the privilege to own. The packaging on this deluxe box set is pure class and the production is brilliant. It is hard to find words to describe the music, the closest I can get is SUBLIME. Enya's voice is truly wonderful and the music is beautiful. The price Amazon are selling this for is amazing and I urge you to buy it if you are into timeless ,classic music.
