To fully understand Staus Quo you have to first view the era which created them and most importantly the influences that were around them. The Quo are one of the few groups who made the transition from hippie pop to hard rock, they managed to re mould the sound and image to appeal to the 70s in a way that was unique to them. Those ignorant of musical structure seem to believe that the quo only used 3 chords within the structure of most songs however as a musician myself I can vouch that nearly all songs contain both many chordal and modular changes, if you want three chords try Led Zepplin. This album is a fitting tribute to one of the greatest rock outfits of all time...enjoy!!

Simply The Best Of Tina Turner... and it is just that. Because although it contains many of the best hits, it omits many loved and essential songs, but it picks the best, intertwines it with the new and is almost full as it contain 18 tracks. So we get some of the very early, to the very latest new songs for the compilation. The cover has an iconic image of Tina, the booklet has a few nice photos and the back page features a four album Discography. The songs themselves are great, although the 90's Version of `Nutbush City Limits' is questionable, definitely not a patch on the original or the 1993 Soundtrack Version which is on a par with the original. A collection of songs from one of the USA'S most underated bands. Apart from a few personal choices, the ommision of Day and Night is a major error. That said if you want a broad look at Little Feat this album will satisfy your curiosity. Llowell George slide guitar hits the spot and the rythmn section holds everything together. They deserved more fame than they got and on a good night there was no better live band around.

I liked the vast majority of this albums songs. All Pearl Jams hits are featured. A few reason why I have not given a 5/5 star review are: The remastered songs (2 on each album). Theyre just not as good as the originals. Also the album structure I feel is not right. Instead of charting PJ's career chronologically (Grunge-Post Grunge etc), songs are placed in what appears to be random order, although the first disk is a lot heavier. Personally I would have done it chronologically, but you cant please everyone! The album cover is a little naff, the sleeves make it difficult to get CD's out of and often the CD's will fall out if your carrying the album about, what was wrong with a hard case?! Nazareth like ther bands before Uriah Heep etc only found themselves the butt of many jokes by the UK press over so many comparisons with other legendary acts before they hit the scene but where warmly appreciated in the US and rest of Europe but this decent best of highlights the emotive tones in Dan McCafferty alcohol nicotened soaked vocals which swings from the rawk to the sensitive as highlighted on bad bad boy and love hurts combined with the effortless guitarsmanship from Jimmy Murrison, steady basslines from Pete Agnew and the effective drumming from the late sweet keeps the band in check which is no surprise they had celebrity fans in Axl Rose who covered hair of the dog for the patchy spaghetti incident album.

If you are after a collection of the more 'radio friendly' tracks that this consistent trio put out during their early to middle period you can't do better than this and at what a price (less than £3 at time of writing). If you are after a little more, a collection that has all of these tracks plus excellent 'album tracks' as well, go for 'GOLD' a 2cd set which gathers together the truly best from the same period.

this is my top van halen choice for those new to this great heavy metal band who are great both with david lee roth and sammy hagar. this is a 2-disc set of all their classic tracks from the 1980s. poundcake, right now, and the cradle will rock, unchained, top of the world, jump, aint talkin bout love, and several others would be my favorite songs on this 2disc set. this would present rock fans with good taste so get this set today.

without doubt this is the best "best of" available that covers the boys at the height of the NWOBHM. Thoroughly covers the EMI years, and let's be honest, who cares about the dreaded late 80's and most of the 90's, when they went European. They couldn't get arrested here. This 3 cd package highlights the obvious singles and best known album tracks, plus a few album fillers. All in all this is a great place to start for you youngsters who missed them 30 years ago, and even better for us old farts who have been dragged kicking and screaming into the light of the 21st century and have had to replace our vinyl and tapes. This is an excellent collection with some of The Velvet Underground's best songs on such as, 'Rock n' Roll', 'What Goes On' and the fantastic 'White Light/White Heat'. However, the recordings themselves aren't the best. The track, 'I'm Beginning to See the Light' sounds somewhat muffled and distorted weheras the recording on the oringinal album it appears on (White Light/White Heat) is clear and crisp. It's like this for a number of other songs as well. Also a few of the tracks are cut short such as 'What Goes On' and 'I'm Beginning to See the Light'. In conclusion, it's a nice collection of VU's songs but should only really be bought by someone who is new to the Velvets. Older fans should steer clear and just buy the, better quality, individual albums.

Listening to this album really got me into korn, particular favourites were 'got the life' and 'here to stay'. If you don't like this album then you probably wont like korns other material. Like all 'greatest hits' albums, Korns 'greatest hits' is packed with heavy hitters. The album has it all from korns first hit 'blind' to korns newer projects like 'y all want a single' and 'A.D.I.D.A.S'. Your money is WELL SPENT. For those of you downloading my top 8 would be 1. Here to stay 2. Got the life 3. Make me bad 4. Somebody someone 5. Freak on a leash 6. Blind 7. A.D.I.D.A.S 8. Falling away from me
