A collection of songs from one of the USA'S most underated bands. Apart from a few personal choices, the ommision of Day and Night is a major error. That said if you want a broad look at Little Feat this album will satisfy your curiosity. Llowell
George slide guitar hits the spot and the rythmn section holds everything together. They deserved more fame than they got and on a good night there was no better live band around.

A couple of interesting tracks on this album, the rest are all at varying degrees of tedium and repetition.

None of the lyrics, in any of the songs, are remotely clear- it's like listening to a drunk badger trying to blow its nose. Next time you listen, you'll know what I mean. At first its entertaining, but after a few songs you'll be looking for the "Off" switch. If you can't find the "Off" switch, you'll be looking for the suicide button.

There's obviously some talent in this group, nevertheless. 'How To Save a Life' and various other Radio 1 fodder actually please the ears. I recommend buying your favourite singles instead of the album. Done.

Its probably fair to say that this is the one album that sits in just about every self respecting rock fans collection, whether they, like me, were knocking about on its original release, or for younger enthusiasts have bought it for its historical value.
This mk2 version of Purple, benefiting from the addition of Ian Gillan's wonderful vocal range (my daughter calls him 'the voice') and Roger Glover's excellent bass and knowledge of musical arrangements, kicked off with an album that not only became the first example of genuine 'hard rock', but unlike some other bands also allowed the depth of their music to shine through.
While not wishing to be critical of the albums contents, how can you knock the likes of 'child in time', 'hard ... Read More:

This album is really good. Come on - as if you didn't already know that! With the Foo Fighters there is a certain level of quality that you expect- and they always deliver.
The BEST songs on the album are 'Breakout'(I Love the screaming!), 'Learn To Fly'(A pop song, but still good), 'Live-Skin'(A good song for various reasons). There are other songs that are good as well. Such as 'Gimme Stitches', 'M.I.A, ect. but the first three songs I mentioned are really good and you will remember them for years to come.
The album only has a few bad songs which suffer from being very boring('Generator').
The album also has some acousic(y) songs to offer such as 'Next Year' and 'Ain't It the Life'. So basically, if you like the Foo Fighters - ... Read More:

If you want a change here it is. Metallica grew up and tried something different. You hear alot of metalligeeks (they are the narrow minded fans who want complex thrash metal - very original eh!) claim this album is terrible, metallica sucked from this album on blah blah blah...

Truth be told, this album is great. It's a fine mix between heavy metal and the blues. The riffs and songs in general are more in line with the Black Album but it has abit more variety.

The tempo for most of the songs are mostly mid tempo, which can drag abit but if you're like me who love some AC/DC or any of that classic heavy stuff then it's right down your road.

Don't expect any "thrashing" classics, just some great mid tempo heavy metal.

I'd never really liked the Darkness, but this is a different kettle of fish.

Varied songs and styles from start to finish, all played with some polish, yet keeping the basics of good solid guitar-based rock 'n' roll close to the fore. Lots of eclectic moments from other bands here (I kept thinking of Def Lep, and even, dare I mention it, NightRanger...)

50 minutes of enjoyable music to drive to, work to, do anything to, basically. Worth the money.

This is by far Enigma's best album! One track after another simply amazing! Cretu on vocals superb!

Those of you who still pay for your music, take heed: this may be the greatest bargain of your life. Rage Against The Machine is that rare thing, a perfect album, and features the right mixture of heaviness, mood, and sheer fury. Evil Empire is less immediately obvious, but with a little commitment you'll be greatly rewarded. The Battle Of Los Angeles is a totally accessible romp, with Rage at their most fun, with a few tracks of sonic exploration thrown in for good measure. At this price, you can't afford not to have these metal classics in your collection (unless of course, you literally can't afford to). 33 of the best songs you'll ever hear.

This album had immense impact on me having grown up with this band as a soundtrack to my early teens and later as a pro musician. The songs speak volumes and seem written by individuals far beyond their years - Apart from that, the album is a rock milestone and it's influence entirely underrated. Free were coming into their absolute peak with this record, along with Fire and Water, Highway, and Free Live. Everything about it is flawless, the cover, the production, the songs, and the delivery. Just buy it and hear for yourself, it's impossible to be disappointed.

Before this i had a few songs by disturbed so i decided to buy this because it had Down With The Sickness and the album was brilliant every track is raw and heavy and loud. In My opinion i dont consider Disturbed Nu-Metal because they are much more than that they have anger, power, aggressiveness and passion about the music they make. Their is something for every metalhead on this album, this album doesnt contain solos but its still raw and heavy. A must buy awesome debut by disturbed. DISTURBED ROCK!!!!!
