Wow, this album is really kicking it! What I love about the Haunted is that they are so potent without a million beats a second pounding double bass. Peter just has that perfect frontman voice and potent rock n roll metal that the band perfects makes for such an amazing sound and potency! This album is more aggressive than the previous The Dead Eye and apart from some parts (eg Pieces) doesn't have that emotional quality, but it makes up for it is solid structure where The Dead Eye came accross a bit messy nearer to the end(still a really good album though). This Album is more inline with rEVOLVEr as far as sound and feel in concerned.Stand out tracks for me at the moment PIECES, TRENCHES, CEREMONY, IRON MASK, IMPERIAL...this is considering ... I only recently discovered Def Leppard after hearing the tracks 'Animal and 'Let's Get Rocked' on the music channels, both of which I loved, so I decided to give the greatest hits album a try. And I was blown away by the new tracks I heard, especially the emotional rock ballads 'Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad', 'When Love And Hate Collide', their most successful UK single, and the US number 1 'Love Bites'. These are my personal favourites, and I seem to have them on constant repeat. Other good songs include the more mainstream rock songs 'Animal' and 'Let's Get Rocked', as well as the songs 'Hysteria and 'Heaven Is'. In fact all the best songs feature on their hugely successful albums 'Hysteria' and 'Adrenalize', so a hardcore fan might prefer ... Read More:

I love Suzanne Vega - she is probably remembered by her more famous tracks, Luka and Tom's Diner, but her album provides us with a wealth of beautiful, meaningful lyrics and her striking and soulful voice. My favourites tracks are Fancy Poultry/ Ironbound and Language, with beautiful lyrics such as 'if language were liquid, it would be rushing in, instead here we are in a silence more eloquent than any words could ever be'. Lovely album.

Never thought I could enjoy this band after hating them for quite sometime, but this album isn't half bad...still corny, but really enjoyable.

A very listenable and relaxing album, one that has grown on me over time. The songs fit together very well, in particular I like 'New Kid In Town' and 'Pretty Maids All In A Row'. All of the songs are meaningful, and I'm still getting more from this album each time I listen to it.

Those of you who still pay for your music, take heed: this may be the greatest bargain of your life. Rage Against The Machine is that rare thing, a perfect album, and features the right mixture of heaviness, mood, and sheer fury. Evil Empire is less immediately obvious, but with a little commitment you'll be greatly rewarded. The Battle Of Los Angeles is a totally accessible romp, with Rage at their most fun, with a few tracks of sonic exploration thrown in for good measure. At this price, you can't afford not to have these metal classics in your collection (unless of course, you literally can't afford to). 33 of the best songs you'll ever hear.

Ive been a fan of the Crue for just over 4 years now and in my opinion the albums they made in the 80s are some of the best rock albums ever recorded. During the 90s their albums got a bit more experimental and the songs they were writing just werent up to the stantard of their earlier work. So after I had heard 2 new songs, 'if I die tomorrow' and 'sick love song' a couple of years ago I was praying that they would release a new album. That album turned out to be S.O.L.A, with James Michael and DJ Ashba handling production I knew that the album would sound amazing. Each song is 100% crue at its best; Mick Mars blasts out some of the best rock riffs ive heard in a long time, and Vince Neils voice hasnt sounded this good since Dr. Feelgood. All together the album is what ... Read More:

First off, The State is the second best album by Nickelback(slightly inferior to Curb). Worthy to say is definitely the best song here, I've tried but find it difficult to find comparisons for this song.
Not Leavin' Yet is great and can be compared to Where do I hide. Cowboy Hat also is a great song musically and lyrically, perhaps the best lyrically. (no comparisons have been found.) Leader of Men is the biggest hit and reminds me a great deal of Nirvana's Come as you are.
There is no one clear comparison for the state though perhaps the best is The Long Road
enjoy

Before this i had a few songs by disturbed so i decided to buy this because it had Down With The Sickness and the album was brilliant every track is raw and heavy and loud. In My opinion i dont consider Disturbed Nu-Metal because they are much more than that they have anger, power, aggressiveness and passion about the music they make. Their is something for every metalhead on this album, this album doesnt contain solos but its still raw and heavy. A must buy awesome debut by disturbed. DISTURBED ROCK!!!!!
