If, like me, you have this band's back catalogue already then there isn't any point in this (especially if you have a CD burner!) as it offers no new material and is simply a nicely packaged compilation! HOWEVER, I have a mate at work, a couple of years younger than myself, who after several years in the wilderness (marriage, mortgage etc) has returned to the metal fold, and absoluteley LOVES this CD! It's a really good starting block or as a refresher! I can endorse the 5 stars, as the material here is taken from what were by far the best years of Maiden's career - they still make some decent music today but there is less fire in the belly, now they are the wrong side of 50. A very listenable and relaxing album, one that has grown on me over time. The songs fit together very well, in particular I like 'New Kid In Town' and 'Pretty Maids All In A Row'. All of the songs are meaningful, and I'm still getting more from this album each time I listen to it.

Yes they can. This album is amazing starting the album off with nickos awesome drum intro then going into an awesome song which is Where Eagles Dare, awesome great chorus and solos and riffs and of course vocals. Revelations is an amazing song a bit slower but still got those riffs and an awesome solo again i dont need to mention the vocals again. Flight Of The Icarus why do some maiden fans have a problem with this i love it great song and chorus and solo, Die With Your Boots is another classic. Then the obvious classic on this album The Trooper a rocking track brilliant solos and lyrics and an awesome riff it has classic written all over it. I love Suzanne Vega - she is probably remembered by her more famous tracks, Luka and Tom's Diner, but her album provides us with a wealth of beautiful, meaningful lyrics and her striking and soulful voice. My favourites tracks are Fancy Poultry/ Ironbound and Language, with beautiful lyrics such as 'if language were liquid, it would be rushing in, instead here we are in a silence more eloquent than any words could ever be'. Lovely album.

"Naturally" by J J Cale - an album that compells you to nod your head and utter the words "Hell, yeah." Make no mistake, this album is seriously cool - a short collection of perfectly executed tunes. The tunes bop and swagger along, underpinned by tantalising guitar licks, awesome boogie-woogie piano, cheeky drum beats and Cale's laconic vocal drawl. "After Midnight" is a cracker - a bluesy piano riff, off-beat rhythms and a sassy vocal from Mr Cale. "Nowhere To Run" is beautiful muted funk, with choppy piano, a honeyed vocal line and a solid gold horn section. This album is the best album you will ever buy. I looked for it for years and thanks to another site and amazon I found it. God bless t'interweb. Music-wise you will be treated to an almost journy through Queen becomig a group to a supergroup. Bohemion aside the star of the show is 'Love of my life'

From the first moment I heard this album when released the power that came out of the grooves of my record player just blew me away and over 30 years later it never fails to send shivers down my spine on every listen. Every track is fantastic I can't pick out a favourite.

If you know little of this beloved British band beyond their three Greatest Hits albums and the bombast of their Eighties stadium shows, then this extraordinary record may have eluded you. Time to make amends. Queen II is one of the most ambitious, decadent, preposterous and exhilarating encounters between man and recording studio in the history of popular music. 'A Night At The Opera' from 1975 may be more balanced, considered and mature, but for sheer bloody bravado and musical abandon, Queen II takes all comers. It should be part of the national curriculum, awarded the Victoria Cross, shot into space for alternative life forms to marvel at. It's Brian May's favourite Queen album and it will become yours too. There's nothing on this DVD that you can't find on youtube to be honest. And with Metallica launching there own youtube channel recently, all the videos on there are official, so you need not worry about Lars getting mad at you.
