Ok I've finally gotten around to the DC's 80's output. And guess what? This is really pretty good. Quite a few people call this album Brian Johnson's Powerage - I'd probably give Stiff Upper Lip that honour, but this isn't far off.

Like most good DC albums it's a case of never mind the songs, feel the boogie. It just kicks off and you go with it. There are standout tracks: Rising Power, Flick of the Switch, Guns for Hire, Bedlam in Belgium and Brain Shake are as good as anything from the Bon era. They're just different. There are no obvious FM radio-type tracks such as you might hear on Back in Black - which to my mind is actually a pretty overrated album (sacrilege maybe but that's just my opinion). Production is good for this ... Read More:

If you are new to Motorhead, try and imagine a world with just the rumbling, dirt-encrusted, speed-freaked 'Motorhead' album on the Chiswick Records label; and then this one is released and you drop your stylus into the groove to hear this album for the very first time, and then, from the fabulous title track onwards, you will realise why Motorhead are the legends they are still today.
This album is power.
This album is the one which a million speed-metal bands were influenced by and took to playing in a band themselves.
This album is the die from which they all, including Metallica, were cast.
This album simply rips your head off and does a great big-jobby down the stump whether you want it to or not.

This is another magical Iron maiden heavy metal masterpiece. The whole album is a classic and one of their best but it's impossible to pick a best iron maiden album. From the classic Aces High to the classic 13 minutes long Rime Of The Ancient Mariner it's all classic heavy metal. You may be reading the reviews seeing some people saying one song is bad on this album no their isn't this whole album is a masterpiece(as i mentioned already). If i had to pick some favourite songs it would be aces high, flash of the blade, powerslave & rime of the ancient mariner . This is the perfect start to Iron Maiden the albums Number Of The Beast, Piece Of Mind and this are the albums everyone should start off with with maiden. In fact why havnt you bought an iron ... Crue in great album shocker! Seriously. I quite liked the lesser known and more recent Generation Swine and the eponomous Motley Crue albums, but really they've never hit the heights of their first album. I surely never saw this coming. For me, Shout at the Devil, Girls, Dr Feelgood and Theatre of Pain were an increasingly horrible attempt to ingratiate themselves to the MTV generation. Guns n Roses stepped in and took the credible metal vote while the Crue whored themselves into a panto act. But here there's a return to that scratchy under-produced brilliance, with a bit of craft that they picked up along the way. I don't normally do 5 stars.

I'd recomend highly of not buying this CD, unless you intend to use it in a video (so that it isn't protected).
Why not buy the CD? Its a very good CD and film, yes, but the songs are 90% useless without the videos, like Beelzeboss. Beelzeboss is a rock off with Satan, with amazing dancing (in a sarcastic way) so, the video is kind of important for this and many others. I tried listening to Beelzeboss, didn't feel the same. There's not much point in buying it, unless ya gonna use it in a film of somekind. Best option for you is too download the videos off of google-video (this is still staying legal these options), purchasing off of Itunes or various other options you may find (perhaps filming it ya-self).

This is my only Deep Purple album and I absolutley love it's such a good album each song is brilliant from start to finish. This is obviously most famouse for the famous rock riff Smoke On The Water how can you not like that song. The best songs are Highway Star, Picture Of Home, Smoke On The Water & Space Truckin'. Deffinetly a Rock album to buy and deffinetlty should be considerd a classic. DEEP PURPLE ROCK!!!!!!

Possibly one of the best album's they ever made. Good heavy jazz/ rock throughout, good weird songs from Mercury, safe rock from Deacon, humourous silly stuff from Taylor and a few very good numbers from May.
Queen was always jazz and it still is. Great album.

After buying their new album a couple of years ago, i decided to check out their first 2 albums. Their debut album quite frankly is boring it has 2 good songs on it the rest sounded this same. This album however is deffinetly better. The songs here differ from each other, and everything has improved. Best songs are My Plague, The Heretic Anthem & Iowa. This album is very heavy, but brutal? who knows. But the thing that pisses me off is people keep comparing Slipknot to Slayer that's just not right, Slayer are one of the greatest metal bands to hit the planet yeah slipknot are good their no slayer. So overall, indeed a great album much better then their debut. A great starting point for new slipknot fans.

Bullet for My Valentine's debut album, and what a debut, awesome riffs, powerful vocals and emmense Solo's is what a debut should have. Having heard only two songs from this album before I bought it, I thought it was about time broadened my musical horizons (from just listening to Metallica & Slipknot!). Beginning the album with a soft melodic intro, which features Apocalyptica, which leads prefectly into 'Her Voice Resides', A Thrash annihilation with screams but leads to smooth vocals by Matt Tuck and the boys.
'Cries in Vain' was originally taken from their self-titled five track UK EP and the US six track EP Hand of Blood and '4 Words (To Choke Upon)' was originally taken from the EP Hand of Blood.
Overall, this album has put Bullet For My Valentine on the ... Read More:
