Anyone who reads my reviews will be aware that I have a huge interest in music and I will pretty much give anything a go.
My daughter (again) was playing this album when we were cleaning out her room & I was intrigued. For my sins I didn't actually know who Audioslave were (please forgive ignorance) but as a fan of music that actually has a clear melody line & where the vocals are sung not screamed , I was hooked.
This album is 'easy listening' for those of you who have never heard of Audioslave but I don't mean that in a derogatory way. Quite the opposite ; this album is so good that it doesn't need time to 'grow' on you. It is soft rock mixed with a big dash of incredible guitar playing, great vocals and amazing songs. ... 3 CDs Led Zeppelin live in pristine sound quality is a dream come true. This is vintage and true Page-Plant-Jones-Bonham. CD 1 proves it all.
CDs 2 and 3 show indeed why punk treated them as dinosaurs: over-indulgent, boring, too long versions alternate with a few gems (Dancing days, Rock 'n' roll).
These and all the CD 1 tracks could have made a world class single live album.

even though it was stated as new release for 2008 Deep Purple's best of is merely the same compilation that was released ten years ago as i came across it in co-op so don't be fooled by the release date as there is nothing new on this dissappointing best of.

I bought this album as it was the last one I needed to complete my collection and I was impressed with the video for "Since I Don't Have You".
Unfortunately after that song the album turns very bad indeed with another 11 songs to trawl through. I have tried many times but can't get to the end.
A highlight of the album is Axl's funny English accent on "Down On The Farm". I don't know what to make of the song but it's very funny. I thought Nazareth's "Hair Of The Dog" might be quite good as the Britny Fox version is excellent. Sadly again I was dissapointed and it is the worst of the three versions available. Duff also sings on the album a few times and his voice is just bad. I hate his voice. Axl's the singer not you. One last irritating ... Read More:

Went to see 'We Will Rock You', got 'Live Killers' the next day and didn't listen to much else for about a year or two. The energy, humour and their anthems make this one of the finest live albums ever recorded and once you're in there, you're on another planet. The balance of showmanship, pomp and full throttle heavy rock is perfect, and if you have heard Queen's early 70's live recordings then you know their roots. Mercury's vocal performance and showmanship is phenomenal, May's wall of sound fills whatever venue they were playing and Taylor's drumming, particularly his solo on 'Now I'm Here', marks him as the epitome of rock'n roll drumming. Sorry John, you got the initials. Maybe they should have called it a day then, following this they never got ... Read More:

If you are looking to buy your first megadeth album then look no further the album has killer written all over it. Megadeth second album and it's a huge step up from Killing Is My Business. The vocals, solos, riffs, dumming everything has improved so much. No best they all rock and i dont see why people dont like I aint superstitious sure it doesnt go with the album but it still rocks. This is a must have in every thrash metal/Metal fans collection. Ignore any negative comment and buy without hesitation. Dave Mustaine You rock.

How anyone, even die-hard Zeppelin fans, can give this four or even five stars is way beyond my comprehension. The circumstances surrounding the band during its recording are well-documented (Page and Bonzo strung out, Plant injured then stricken with death of his son) leaving JPJ as the main contributor here.

Zeppelin's bassist does a good production job, particularly on the atmospheric opener In The Evening and the slow-blues closer I'm Gonna Crawl, but overall this is the sound of a band whose best days were well behind them, fighting to remain relevant in a world of New Wave and post-punk.

Page's playing is all over the place. The mighty riff for In The Evening is an exception, instead we are left with the appalling country & western schtick ... Read More:

Take a large measure of Led Zeppelin, a tablespoon of Hendrix, a teaspoon of Black Sabbath and a pinch of White Stripes and you have Wolfmother. Maybe not terribly original but the nods are respectful. One of the best albums I've heard in a long time. Play loud while wearing velvet loons and lennon glasses.
