I found this album in my dad's collection and decided to whack it on my ipod. I'd heard good things about them from other people at school and they weren't lying. The band are awesome. Great vocals and really good guitar. I love the bass and i think John Bonham is a brilliant drummer (Listen to Moby Dick & Stairway to Heaven). Personally i think Keith Moon is better. There are loads of great tracks on this album. Everyone will recognise whole lotta love from a certain tv programme!! There's also 'What is and what should never be', Moby Dick, Heartbreaker ..... there isnt really a weak song. A great album, but nothing compares to The Who. Defo 5/5. It would be in my top ten

No seriously why? This album is amazing. This one of AC/DCs best albums. This is more bluesy rock n roll and the blues is very evident in this album. Every song on this album gets better. When you listen to each song you think can this get any better and it does. Best songs are Downpayment Blues, Riff Raff, Rock N Roll Damnation & What's Next The Moon?. This is a must for every AC/DC fan this should be one of AC/DCs most popular albums ever but sadly it isn't it's certainly one of their best. This is a great start to AC/DC it's one of their. Why it's not more known is beyond me but we'll have to deal with it. Buy this Rock classic if you're a rock n roll fan. LET THERE BE ROCK!!!!!!!!!

one word amazeing stairway to heaven alone!! fantastic album no 1 rocks like zep jimmy page one of the best guitarists ever along with david gilmour but my favourite is jimi hendrix electric ladyland wow!! buy this album classic rightly so!!

The only thing that needs to be said about this album is BUY IT, it's the best live album ever. Simple as.

Being a rock guitar freak of two decades' standing, it is with embarrassment that I confess to only having heard this record for the first time in my 39th year. Clearly I went to the wrong school and hung out with the wrong, self conscious types, and stupidly we looked askance at this bogan rock. More fool us. What a remarkable, single minded, self-assured, exuberant record this is, and what a master stroke for a bunch of scot-inflected teenaged aussies to have settled on such a perceptively observed formula and executed on it so flawlessly (and stuck with it for the thirty years since!). All of rock's evolved extravagant frippery is discarded or reduced down to its elements. The drums mark out a thumping 4/4 on-beat; stereo guitars ... Read More:

One of the most overrated albums ever. Why G n R were ever feted beats me. They were nothing special, just one of a long line of dire hair metal acts from Sunset Strip. G n R only differed in that they tended to rip off Aerosmith rather than Van Halen. Slash is a competent enough guitar player but he's added nothing to the canon of axemanship but Axl Rose has a voice that strips paint. Even if you allow for the hits as being half OK the other tracks are dismal, plodding sub Stones riffage.

This is a great album because it encorporates everything you've loved from their previous three albums, and blends them all into an alloy of wonderous metal. It has the powerful choruses of Ascendancy and the riffage from the Crusade. The Metallica-wannabes has been discarded for definite on this album, they have stamped this record with a recognisable sound of their own. This is a definite contender for album of the year in my eyes, highlights include Down From the Sky and Throes of Perdition. Oh, and the DVD version is well worth getting, it has a making of feature of the guys in the studio recording the album, bonus tracks which include 'Iron Maiden' and a guitar masterclass from Matt and Corey. Enjoy!!

This album demonstrates many of the influences Metallica have had over the years. Every song is quite different to the one before yet all remain very appealing and enjoyable. It seems Metallica have rediscovered the right mix of melody, aggression and funk after their last few disappointing efforts. Some of the influences I can pick up on are: Iron Maiden, John 5, Slayer, Pantera and perhaps even a little bit of Marty Friedman. Favourite song? Cyanide In summary, a brilliant album of very different tunes but all capturing the imagination of the listener. Thoroughly recommended - 5 Star!

Wow. Live in the LBC will blow you away. This is possibly the greatest live performance I have seen by a rock band. Beautifully directed with breathtaking camera angles and lighting. And I haven't even got round to the music yet. Avenged play close to perfect. This would pass in the studio. Synysters solos are incredibly played and Shadows' voice is more powerful than ever. Worth the full money for Live in the LBC. But diamonds in the rough? Filled with B-Sides and covers. There are reasons that these songs did not make the studio albums. Songs like Crossroads and Demons are average and may even be considered good coming from a smaller rock band. BUT THIS IS AVENGED and we have come to expect better. ... Read More:
